The new opening is awesome! I like the song and the animation. If I didn't read the manga, I would be so confused by all of the images that they showed. I don't think that they were really spoilers since there was no context to the images, except for

I was kind of surprised since that seemed to be plucked straight from the pages of the manga.

EDIT: Actually, now that I look at the opening again, it seems that most of the scenes are either from the manga or something that could be used over the course of this arc.

There's really not much to the episode; it's just a recap of episodes 215-226. It's a nice refresher since Bleach has been away for almost 10 months now, but it's nothing new. New stuff starts next week.

You should expect the animation to be good after about thirty to forty weeks of filler animation.
