I like Sasuke because he is so unerringly human in his actions and his thoughts. No, he is not perfect, and yes, he betrayed his home and friends in order to seek revenge. Just seeing his progression throughout the series from graduating the academy to his fight with Naruto at the Valley of the End to learning under Orochimaru (lol) is amazing. He has [about a million] flaws, but that makes him interesting as a character.

And with that being said, there would hardly be a story in Naruto without Sasuke. I mean, he was Naruto's first friend, Itachi's brother, and Sakura's love interest, not to mention that Shippuuden is based around Naruto bringing Sasuke back to Konoha. Or, at least trying to...

'Naruto' revolves around Naruto and Sasuke's relationship and their bond is a reflection of all the bonds that the Naruto story encompasses. Sasuke is just as important to 'Naruto' as Naruto is.

Sasuke is ok. I think he is one of the best ninja along with Naruto and the other Konoha 11.
