Necroing Old Threads

Considering that there has been a recent influx of Old Threads coming about again.

I mean for my own personal opinion Necroing is like spamming. The thread has already been done and then why post on it after couple months later.

I have seen even May 2009 matches being revived. I mean for what?

However perhaps I am being narrow minded and asinine on this issue.

What do the rest of the people think here?

Is Thread Necroing great or what?

It really more matters what the thread is about. Maybe you found a battle that you can argue a point on and are interested in debating. In that case, sure whatever.

Personally i dont really mind it as long as the person who revives it has some legitimate new points that they bring up. But if they necro a thread and end up repeating excactly what people already said then i agree with you it is like spam.

Personally i dont see why they couldnt just make a new thread on the topic but meh, i dont really have a strong opinion on necroing threads either way.

well i dont know if your being sarcastic but i dont like it for the following reason
1. i like to see more new threads
2. lets say its dedara and hidan vs sasuke back then maybe 6 months ago dedara and hidan win but now sasuke can win with MS added to his arsenal
3. it just lock screwed up when one data says o lets say 10/19/09 and the next one says today 8:43

There isn't really a subtle way to keep old threads from being revived again.

I for one hate that people revive threads that have been decided weeks and even months ago, especially when the ones who revive them post one sentence or even one word responses.

I'm fine with necroing old threads as long as the person doing so has new and decent points to bring up on in the debate.

I dont think that it is a bad thing but it shouldnt be done as much as it has been lately, i wouldnt mind seeing one pop back up every once in a while or so but multiple threads a day is just ridiculous. Especially when its the same person doing it.........

If the OP brought it back up or a poster wanted to shed light on some new feats or something that is fine.

But often its just one line or few words or even one worded answers which really is just post farming.
Especially like its been like 20 times in a half an hour.
