I didn't state that the big bang theory was untrue, I was implying that God is real because of the fact that there had to be something to start the big bang (you can't get everything from nothing).

I think he exists but he just sits back and watches and doesn't interfere. You know, free will and stuff. That way the whole 2 year old's dying from cancer thing can happen and people can still go to church.

no, i wasn't being sarcastic. i've heard people say that because they believe god exists. not that because god exists they believe. so i was taking an actual crack at it xD

Not really, I fall asleep in church. That said, over 2000 years ago a greek philosopher conceptualized the atom. Though his thought process was overlooked until the 20th century. When we as humans had the means see these particles. Atom Now taking this same train of thought, who's to say whether or not god does not exist. Perhaps our current technological constraints are still too primitive.

a god is supernatural. by default, he cannot be studied in the natural world because of our restraints. and the fact that this is believed by so many, even scientists(like wooster ), and highly accepted by many people, not just excused, but still have no evidence besides not completely reliable book that have outdated practices and beliefs is no real reason to believe it.

Explainng the Big Bang is hard enough......Explaining God would be waaaay beyond that.

There's thousands of religions in the world, they can't all be right. This is a very personal topic and an endless debate comes along with it. I'm leaning more to the disagreeing side btw.

AND someone always gets upset.. but anyways @ Sasu: people would have a hard time proving an invisible god being exists... so to say he doesn't exist until proven other wise won't work... UNLESS he actually shows up and wipes us all out... But I am on the same sort of level as you Sasu.. I don't believe in A god, demons, nor devils.

@ X: To say they all can not be right would imply that there is one that is truly correct. I personally believe that, that is false. There is not one true religion in my eyes, although they will probably all claim to be. I believe that they all have a tiny little piece of the puzzle right... and that is about it

Shayd, we can't just say god is invisible, it's a known fact that our scientists even don't know for sure are there other dimensions beside ours or just still ain't able to prove it to be true. Bacon said human's technology might be too primitive, but it actually is and it may take maybe even decades/centuries to improve technologies to the state it should be in order to prove/disprove god's existence.

exactly. using the christian god, if he REALLY wanted me to be saved, wouldn't he give me undeniable proof that he exists rather than not be able to and go to hell simply because i don't take my beliefs based on faith?
