I don't know Christmas' true orgins,but it has been turned into an American corporate holiday. Besides,who doesn't like presents, food, and time spent with loved ones?

The bible is based off of nothing, and our history books account for things that have been recorded. I do realize that history is dictated by the winners,but there is proof of the revolutionary war, of World war one and two. There is no evidence of rivers turning into blood or the fact that god created the earth in 7 days.
Before you counter, I know that somethings in the bible can be interpretted symbollically,but it's the only tangible word of god. If an omnipotent being can't say things right the first time, then it contradicts the notion of god.

1. Some Muslims believe in slaughtering, yes. But Hitler and the Nazi party weren't Muslims, and look at what they did. You clearly know nothing of Islam. The only ones who kill for their faith are extremists (most Muslims don't believe in that). And guess what? There are tons of Christian extremists, who do things like bombing abortion clinics.

Thats a good point.

And for people questioning on how God came in the first place its kinda funny that they ask that. I mean some of them believe that we came from alien and that the big bang is what created this universe or that we evolve and yet they never question on how they came in the first place. Energy can not create itself and if it can't create itself then it can't create other things let along life itself.

For all you people who believe in god based on " How do you think we got here"? Who created god so that he could make us?

Second, read the Miller-Urey experiment, and you will see that life could have came into existence without divine intervention.
