It's probable that it can. But I'm unsure. Wolverine got thrown into the sun, and his skeleton survived, meaning adamentium can survive prolonged temperatures of basically 27 million degrees or more.
Now, Lightabers, are blades of pure plasma contained within a force containment field. It never expressly states HOW hot they are. Simply that they are very, very hot. It basically depends on if someone wants to argue lightsabers being hotter than the core of the sun.

Lightsabers don't actually cut through anything. What happened in the Star Wars' movies were just technological and body malfunctions caused by the combination of the ultraviolet lights emanating from the lightsabers combining with the wiring of the set. The producers continued on allowing that because they thought it was cool without paying any regard to the fact some of their actors actually died making the film.

Well, It may be able to. Keep in mind that though non canon, lightsabers could clash with regular bladed weapons or even a wooden bat in Soul Calibur 4

That's why it's non-canon. Otherwise it would just be Vader flailing his arms around while everyone screams in a puddle of their own urine and cauterized arms.

In the Star Wars Universe, a lightsaber can cut through pretty much anything given the time except metals containing Cortosis. Even then a lightsaber can break an object utilizing cortosis after a number of successive hits.
However, an argument that it could cut adamantium as well would be a severe case of the "no limits fallacy."

Maybe to the man who created it. Because EVERYTHING should be able to melt. As it comes from rock, that also comes from what kids?
That is right pixy dust. So next time you see a fairy, you kill those little sparkly butt holes. In reality yes it can. In the Marvel world.... No. But how hot is a Lightsaber? Not much is given. I mean it has cut through or burned through metal. In which case it could over time.

no it can't and forty years of comic book history supports the fact that it cannot that's all that matters Quote:
because a light saber is totally carving up something that can fall inside a star..and be just fine

Where did you get that it can survive a bomb that can destroy a many light years worht of the universe? Because it can't It may take planets and stuff out but not the damn universe.
Adamantium has been broke before, and that means that it is not unbreakable. And prolonged contact with a lightsaber would do damage to Adamantium that is not thickly coated on like Wolverines. Lightsabers have burned through the hardest and toughest metals in their entire universe, which includes the hulls of massivly large Capitol ships, and the hardest of diamonds and crystals from other planets. It is thier basic power to be able to cut through anything, and only Cortosis when woven in a special pattern can stand up to lightsaber hits and even that eventually fails and breaks. Also for the metal, Secondary admantium, it has a chance, but it's not going to be a clean cut. They're going to have to put major effort into cutting it. Primary? No. Not a chance. Secondary with a consistant application for a very extended period they could eventually make a cut in it. Primary adamantium; you might as well just go home. So really the question is, first or second grade adamantium?

No it can't. That chemical element you may be talking about is strong and the bonds of the atoms are like using the most stickiest glue in the world to stick something with. The metal they used in Star Wars may be a stronger version of Titanium Alloy. (These are all just a theory and tell me if I am wrong because I like to correct my mistakes)

There is no melting point. Adamantium is an alloy consisting of two metals. Both metals are encased in a resin and the two pieces are put together. Extreme heat is applied, the resin dissolves and the metals are brought together. From this point you have seven or eight minutes to cast it before it becomes completely rigid.
Lightsaber abilities are fairly vague. In Star Wars I they use them to melt through blast doors, but we know that Adamantium, once cooled, can not be re-melted. So for that reason the light saber would probably not cut through adamantium.

Nope. Adamantium is tottally indestructable except against skilled and powerful magnetic using superheroes like Magneto

The OP doesn't say ''Wolverine's skeleton''
What if hed a string of Adamantium which is 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 mm in circumference. Could it cut it then? I think it could cut something that thin....maybe. Lightsaber is basically pure concentrated light/plasma? channeled to form a blade. I also think it's impossible to limit light to form a shape like that, but who knows what we might do in the future. In Star Wars they use the Force to keep in shaped. But Wolverine's skeleton is something else, it got thrown into the sun and did not melt, so no, it can't be cut like that. Maybe if you put the saber on it an wait for a long time, MAYBE it would start to melt, but I stil doubt that the saber is hotter than the Sun. Hell naw! It can't cut!

It's harder than Diamonds, and anything else the world has made, I figuratively thought that the Lightsaber was the equivalent in heat close to that of the sun, but, in a way, so is lava.
It's hard to determine but if I had a choice between yes or no, it'd be no... :o

IMW - YOu said...
'because a lightsaber is totally cutting through an object that can withstand a singularity bomb that can destroy a hundred lightyears worth of space' I said... 'Where did you get that it can survive a bomb that can destroy a many light years worht of the universe? Because it can't It may take planets and stuff out but not the damn universe.' Sure sounds likeI am saying the same... Minus me saying MANY and not what ever you said. I said a bomb that can destroy.
