question about the academy
ok, so naruto went to the academy for about three or four years, right? is this longer than usual because they seemed to be making a big deal about it? if this is not normal, then how did he get put with sakura and sasuke and they were all about the same age, only with a distance of a few months in age?

Weird. That makes Naruto older then Sasuke but they are roughly the same age.

Kakashi graduated the academy at 6 whereas Obito graduated at 9, so you can obviously take the grad exam at anytime regardless of who your classmates are. Clearly Naruto attempted to graduate at 9, 10, 11, and 12... Whereas Sasuke only attempted at 12.
