Restarting the forum (Mods please read)

OK, i'm not saying totally reastart but, take off all the crap that has no more than 2 pages of post all there doing is gathering dust and people rarly try to bring it back up all they do is make another one and it makes no since at all to do that if the last one didnt make it and was able to keep running the same thing will happen to the new one no matter how much u put in it. The other thing is the people that have an acount and dont use it, I think they at least should be able to get on once every 2 months at least and if they haven't just delete there profile, and if they want back on they can just make another profile. I'm just saying that the forum is getting boreing because there isn't any conversation about the subject it just gets out of hand most of the time. But if the mods did this once every year it would probably make the forum a better place to be at and not just to pass the time.

An archive would be when they clear out a whole section, but keep the threads archived in an accessible place.

mostly if some wanted to take a vacation somewhere and they comeback two or three months later and found their account removed they might not make another account and leave the forums and we will lose members and some people who right stories(me mostly) usually make short stories no more than 1 page and they see it is deleted and will end up getting mad and either have to start that one agian or plain ignore it and be really mad

Not only would this take a massive amount of work, but I don't really understand how this would make the forums a better place.

Bluntly it is because the members who were doing all the work to make this place fun and put in tons of effort either burned out or have had real life issues. Cutting down on threads and users won't fix that. It's a cultural problem.

Yet they cause activity, and keep active members amused.

I'm sure if there were less activity even fewer funny or insightful people would be here.

that seems like a bad idea.
