Graphic novel releases

To whoever can answer my question. Why are graphic novels released quarterly? I don't expect Viz Media to be up to date with the latest chapter in the graphic novels, but at least be somewhat close to where Shonen jump magazine is. Perhaps one graphic novel every other month wouldn't be that unreasonable. Thanks for your time.

I have the same question. The only possible reason I can think of is that they are doing that because Viz might think that people won't buy a volume with chapters they read a month ago.
