examples
1 killing asuma
2 turning itachi good
3 turning sasuke bad
4 killing kakashi (even if it was only temporary)
5, 6, 7.... the list goes on

i gotta disagree.

1 asuma is not so important to the story, we can live without him (thats purely my opinion tho)
2 itachi is not good. family comes first. he killed his whole family... yes he may have done it for the "greater good", but in russia we have a saying: the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
3 lol? how was that bad or unexpected? his whole family was killed by his brother, how can he be a good guy after that? I might not be the one to talk (i am very...err..violent? when someone annoys me, i usually pull out my switchblade and seriously try to kill that person. and it doesnt have to be a big thing) but i think it is no surprise he became evil.
4 well gotta agree bout kakashi. it would suck if he died, he is awesome.

1 agree about asuma
2 finally someone who dosen't think itachi is a hero that killed his entire family but spared his brother
3 i didn't expect sasuke to go bad (but i love randomness wich is one of the reasons i like this pairing)
4 i almost stopped watching the show when he killed kakashi

It was the second pairing I ever liked (the first I recall being NaruSaku for no logical reason whatsoever).

Then I actually bothered to read the manga instead of reading fan fiction. And discovered SasuHina would forever only be fan fiction.

SasuHina? For story reasons...it would never happen. If it was just a non-cannon thing he did...still no. As much as I hate the pairing, it would be NaruHina in the end.

They haven't even really met. The only interaction I remember them having was in a movie when Sasuke showed up out of nowhere, chucked a kid into a boat (to save her life, mind you) and Hinata yelled "Sasuke-kun!" and that was it. It's so improbable. Plus, they'd just suck as a couple. Hinata would just frustrate Sasuke and annoy him, and he would just overwhelm her.
I don't think Hinata's emotionally stable enough to maintain a relationship with either Naruto or Sasuke.

however there are pairings that make way less sense

I love it they would look so cute together. For me it would actually make sense. Hinata would probably be the only girl who would like Sasuke for who he is not because of his looks, name or aura (karin). Lots of people say Hinata belongs to Naruto but the way I see it he doesn't deserve her. I mean he didn't even answer her confession and it's like what a year ago that it happend? I don't even know why Kishi actually put it in there. But well it's his story.

I love the complete lack of logic behind this pairing. "Hinata's the only girl who's never given Sasuke a second glance, so she should end up with him." What the heck? That's bass-ackwards.

No offense to fans of SasuHina, but, with both their personalities and their life situations (now and from birth), this would never work out. And, since Sasuke would kill Hinata within the first five minutes, I don't really find it "cute;" I find even the thought of it "horrifying."

i think the pairing is cute but will not happen. the only way i think it can happen is if sasuke steals hinata away, if naruto loves hinata, just to ruin naruto's life

it only makes sense due to the fact that sasuke is comepletely unattrcted to anyone who whats the word for it stalks him
if he comes back to the village he probrably would ed up with someone who is seemingly unintrested
and as far as naruhina goes hinata comepletely confessed that she loved naruto(during the pain fight) and he still does not get it
