I think the right to bear arms is essential to the American way of life. First I will probally get a lot of flak from this not only because I support(like the founding fathers), but people are also going to go to my page and see I'm from WV and say "Oh he's just a stupid inbreed hillbilly that and doesnt know anything." Well first off I'm pretty sure I have a 4.0. But yes I do own guns and love to shot them. So your thoughts and debate people debate and I dont care if you curse but let me warn you I have been infracted for swearing in the debate forum.

i havnt shot many guns but yes i think that amendment is good becuase u need to protect urslef right and i think everybody should go through huinter safety even if they dont plan to ever go hunting becuase it is essential to know gun safety

I completely support the right to bear arms. Aside from being one of our founding principles -- which should not be changed just because a bunch of kiss-up upstarts think it's best to change our foundation -- making individual gun ownership illegal does nothing to protect the people. It hurts them. If we outlaw guns, all that will do is strip the law-abiding citizens of defense; there will continue to be a black market and criminals who get guns illegally, just as they do now. Any gun-banning laws won't change their way of thinking.

That right was made for when we had Militias. Now that there aren't any around, there's really no reason for it. People try to say that it's the people's right to bear arms, but the right was meant for Militiamen.

Even so, crime's at an all-time high. There's not much else you can do when someone breaks into your house in the middle of the night to kill you.

I support the right to have guns in your home and to use guns for recreation. I have a problem with guns in public, but that's probably because I'm Canadian.

Actually historians and lawyers and lawmakers agrue all the time about whether it meant for guns just for the miltia or for everyone that hasn't been convicted. Nobody really knows except the founding fathers. Or maybe the founding fathers where argueing like us one side wanted guns for everyone and the other side wanted guns for just the miltia. So maybe the left it vague on purpose so that future americains could decide.
