That's very true. What's also interesting is that we don't know how he would act around her if he could express his emotions better. Like what we have in the Why We Love Them spoiler text, they seemed to become closer after the library scene. He didn't mean to be so vexing but I have my theory about why he close that particular nickname. He also dropped it fairly quickly.

Like I said, if he could express his emotions better there could be some interesting feelings that he has supressed due to all his years in ROOT.

i know during this ark he has even defened her, and feel her pain of after the confession he did about naruto feelings. what i find most facinating is that he feels abit of sakura pain and feels bad for causing it.

Yeah, that's an impressive accomplishment for Sai. Almost everyone present for the confession and far too many fans view her confession as a lie. What's important is that he doesn't probably because he doesn't think she could lie.

What's interesting about Sai's POV is that he cannot be persuaded by preconceived notions about Sakura's feelings. As the old argument about body language comes to the forefront, that's what he was going by because that's what he's been studying about.

He didn't need to feel guilty, but it speaks volumes that he did, considering all his layers of detachment.

sakura is an strong independent woman, id rather have her with sai now because hes the only one that sees her like that . i mean naruto sees her in the past sasuke only sees her like an comrade and kakashi sees her as an girl going to her death. sai belives in sakura more then any of her teammates even though he also think she would not be able to defeat sasuke and would try to disract her he is doing it all for her safty. something that the old sai never would have done or cared about.

she and naruto helped him with his emotions but sakura seems to except his wanting to learn of emotions ands supports him. thah could be another reason he might like her because she likes him for him like she likes or loves naruto for naruto or sasuke for sasuke(we need her pov so dont start conflict)

but seriously if naruto and sasuke keep treating sakura like someone who is usless and hurts well

#1). SaiSaku is not a crack pair, it is a borderline canon pair. If one-sided romance warrants a borderline canon pair, than this one certainly does, lol. At least Sai and Sakura have mutual communication and are relatively close as friends.

I agree with your points mostly, fire. Of course.

This is an awesome couple, because Sai sees her for what she's trying to accomplosh and doesn't view her as a damsel who's still head over heels for Sasuke.

I don't know about Naruto, perhaps Sai and even Gaara gave him a hard enough kick in the pants, but we'll see. The kid has time frame issues, that's no mystery. At this point though, only Sai understands what she's trying to do as an independant kunoichi, he seemed skeptical at Kakashi's guess when he claimed that she's going to "kill the one she loves" while Sai just said "possibly." That's what he said in my translation, anyway.

This pairing needs more love and I think the reason why it doesn't is for a multitude of reasons:

#1). She loves Sasuke and/or Naruto.
#2). Sai's "emotioness" therefore, he cannot be paired with anyone.
#3). Fans think he doesn't like her because of his old nicknames for her. Which he dropped, by the way.
#4). Fans overlook the hints in the manga. There is actual evidence that he is closer to her than anyone else.
#5). He's gay. -_- Or at least for Naruto, lmao.
