Whether you're looking at most units sold overall or current selling rate, Nintendo's been consistently number 1 with the Wii for a while. The top 10 charts of best selling games for the last few years have been hilarious too, with Wii Play and Mario Kart dominating internationally. Fricking Wii Play .

I've had Sony from the very start, although I like Xbox360 a bit better. If PS3 was released at the same time, the 360 would be getting a lot more crap than it is now. There are just major 360 fanboys and tards it's not even funny, but I think of them as equals.

If games specifically come out for Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, etc, then that's good for them. Although, if you get a multiplatform game, usually at least between the PS3 and 360 there's little to no difference, other than button mapping.

The one major difference I like to point out is PS3 is free online play, yet I still have Xbox Live. The money really isn't an issue for me, yet like I said the lack of difference in between there, it's whichever system you have first, really.

Oh, and guys, the Wii's release date was perfect, that's why it got so many sales. Other than games like Madworld for the Wii, it's family friendly with games like Wii Sports or the Wii Fit. That's why it's a bestselling home console, although it's not too good imo, at least I don't like it much, not unless I'm playing some thanksgiving marathon with my Grandma and 6-Year-old sister.

Except Super Smash Bros Brawl. That's my #1 favorite series or close. Can't forget things like MW2.

Usually PS3 and XBOX 360 have more expensive games though, do you recall by how much the gap was?

If you're talking about that as well, then you've become more wrong than you were previously .

Check the top selling games for the past 5 years from month to month. You're gonna see so much Wii your head will spin. Not to mention the peripheral and accessory market, which the Wii gouges on.

Wii games also cost less to produce on average, sell as much and often much more than alot of the multi console games, and the console itself is sold for profit, not at a loss, as the PS3 and 360 were for their first few years, if not to this day (depending the country a unit is sold in).

I am a 360 owner, but I have to admit in terms of value and potential graphics power, the PS3 is better. I have been through the RROD and gotten my 360 repaired- it's not the most reliable of consoles. However, while the PS3 has better potential for graphics, it's not a major difference, and the PS3 is more difficult to program for than the 360. This means that multi-platform games actually tend to look better on the 360 than the PS3. I personally prefer the 360's library of exclusives- Mass Effect is why I bought it. (only 20 days til Mass Effect 2!!!)

As for the Wii- it's for gamers who don't like, you know, actual GAMES- hardcore shooters, RPGs, strategy, action/adventure, etc. It's more for people who just like to have a fun time doing whatever, from exercising to doing pop quizzes. The graphics suck compared to the 360 and the PS3- no question there. The Wii lacks many good exclusive and multiplatform games because it simply doesn't have the processing power to handle them. They do have a few good exclusive games, mostly first-party- I so wish Super Mario Galaxy and Legend of Zelda would go multi-platform, but I know it will never happen.

So true, Wii wins because it's audience are not real gamers. The PS3 wins in hardware, but loses in game selection. If you are real gamer the 360 is where it's at.

Very much so- I was a PC gamer before I got my 360. My parents saw no point to getting a game console when the computer could play games anyways. However, it can be a headache to make sure a PC can play the latest games when you're on a budget, while when you buy a console game you know it's going to work no matter what. That's what caused my family to switch.

Yeh, they generally to sell more expensive games however ,its not like it really matters, Xbox Games expensises dont exactly repel people from buying them ^_~ Bill Gates has proved that Lol

And as for the gap, I cant exactly remember Im afraid. What I do remember is that the margin isnt very big. Thats mainly the reason we studied them, they were all roughly on the same level of success. And all are very good at managing and selling products. If Wii had a much lower selling rate there would've been no point in studying them. I remember Wii was below Xbox and PS3,I cant remember which one was first though. I wasnt much of a gamer at this point :S
