Remember hope

tic.... tock ...... tic.... tock ......

"When will this end....." "did i make it?" "oh no.....My turn." "Wish me luck!" These where the quiet whispers flowing around the room, and all they where doing to a single girl in the room was giveing her a head ache. This girl only wanted to get this boreing test over, and become a ninja. She didn't understand why they all had to wait forever just to get there turn to test and mabey not make it. This girl was Shiori Yukimura...

Shiori wasn't a downer or a person who complained alot, but you would guess she was though. She was slouching on her desk, as if she were asleep, Her muti coloered red, pink, amber and laveneder hair, was out of it's normal pony tail, and spread messily over her arms and back. Her amber eyes where then shut, but you wouldn't to be able to tell this, for the fact that her head was practicaly glued to the table. Her short pink dress was then wrinked, along with the pants underneath it. She didn't even take the time to put on her new uniform, even though she didn't have to, people would have guessed that she would.

Shiori was quite smart, wich made people think she was a teacher's pet, wich she wasn't, but that caused her to not have many friends. She was friends with Kameko Kawakami though, it was surprizeing, they where basicaly opposites most of the time. But they met in detention, Kameko was in detention because she pulled a prank on the teacher, and Shiori because She was teaseing some other girls and eventualy made them cry.

"Akiyama, Aki!" Said one of the snowflake village acadmy teachers. Oh great, it's the stuck up brat's turn, I hope she fails then runs off crying like a baby Thought the amber eyed girl and probably everyone elese in the classroom. Shiori then sat up straight and opened her eyes, seeing the blonde walk down the rows of desks looking as if she was the most important person in the clasroom.

I hate her.... I wish there was something i could do to spoil her moment....She thought. A second later though The red haired girl thought of an idea.

"aisumizume." she whispered. all of a sudden her eyes turned ice blue.

I can't keep my eyes like this for long until I learn to control my chakra better. she thought.

Shiori then grabed a peice of paper and threw it at the blonde's head. she then turned around and looked Shiori right in the eye, and after a few seconds, she was frozen in place.

"Akiyama Aki!" called the acadmy teacher again. but Aki just stayed in place.

Chakra drainging...must let go... The acadmy student then turned off her aisumizume and the blonde was free. Aki looked around confused ly then walked over to the acadmy teacher.

OH YEAH! She thought, Today was getting better for her.

"Now all I need to do is ace this exam and my day will be absolutly perfect..." she whispered while grinnging slightly. She knew that after the exam, she would be given her squad number, they would meet first thing in the morning, but then when she when home to the Yukimura clan hosehold. Her grandmother would be waiting for her with a congradulations cake or apple pie. Shiori smiled, Her grandmother was like her mother now after the..... accident. Her other clan members where also kind to her because of that, but she didn't need any pity. She has lived with it for four years, and since she is now eleven she realized the accident happened when she was seven, wich was a long time ago for her.

"Akiyama Hana!" called the acadmy teacher.

oh great, Aki's twin sister.... I need to save my chakra for the exams though so i'm not going to mess with her at the moment though. She then sighed and looked at the clock. It was already noon.

The wind battered relentlessly against the windows, making the small girl seated next to it constantly jump in fright. She was waiting, like the rest of the children in the room, for their name to be called out.
Most of them were pretty confident, others a little unsure, but the girl in the corner sat, shaking from nerves. Her navy blue, shoulder length hair was pulled over her glassy pink eyes. The girl grapsed her knees fiercely, scrunching up the smooth cloth that made up her knee length kimono.
"Kuusou, Hanataro," A teacher called from a doorway.
The girl by the window bolted upright and awkwardly made her way to the aisle, with everyone staring.
Hanataro, by far was the shortest and most strangest child in her year. She was very timid and nervous. She had no friends and was very closed off from the world. Nobody dared to make fun of her though. Despite her personality, she was a child prodigy, people respected her for it.
Hanataro walked into the examination room.
"Good morning Hanataro, to pass today's examination you need to perform a clone jutsu, with three perfect clones," The examiner smiled.
"Y-y-yes," Hanataro stuttered.
She quickly put her hands together and created three perfect clones with ease.
"Well done Hanataro, you pass," The examiner smiled.
"R-really? I-I didn't think i would," She stuttered.
The examiner's aid whispered to the examiner, "But wasn't she the one who had the highest scores in her year?"
The examiner nodded in reply and his assistant grimaced.
The examiner handed Hanataro her head band, "Th-thank you!!," Hanataro smiled, with a quick bow.
"Hanataro, the Teikage would like to see you in half an hour," The examiner smiled, "It's a good thing, don't worry,"
Hanataro gasped, and her bright eyes widened, "R-really? T-that's good," Hanataro laughed nervously and bowed twice before awkwardly making an exit.
The Teikage wants to see me? Hanataro thought, she quickly brushed the creases from her kimono and hurried home.

When Hanataro returned, she was greeted by her mother.
"Hanataro, you passed? Well done sweet heart!" She smiled gently.
"T-thanks mother, th-the Teikage wants to see me in twenty minutes," Hanataro stuttered.
"Wow, that's great honey, come inside and have a celebratory cinnamon roll before you go, alright sweety?" Hanataro's mother ushered the small girl inside.
Hanataro smiled nervously, she loved her mother but at times she found her too bright and cheerful, compared to her own meek attitude.
As her mother disappeared into the kitchen, Hanataro made her way to the Teikage's office.

"Lady Teikage," Hanataro mumbled as she rapped on the door.
"ENTER," The Teikage yelled.
The loud yell made Hanataro jump, she then twisted the handle of the door and entered.
The Teikage was an average height, middle aged woman who had vivid orange curls and bright green eyes.
"Oh Hanataro, please sit," She smiled, gesturing with her hand for Hanataro to sit.
"Y-yes M'am," Hanataro almost whispered.
She sat quietly on the chair placed in the center of her room.
"Brush your hair out of your eyes, i don't know how you see through that fringe," The Teikage snapped as she settled into her chair.
Hanataro did as she was told, and revealed her bright, glassy eyes by curtaining her fringe.
"Good, now, Hanataro. You're the best out of this years Genin, and I know that you will pass, without fail, the upcoming challenges you face with ease. So, I've been talking with the Yukikage, and we've decided to combine two of her shinobi with one of ours in a genin team!!" The Teikage grinned and clapped her hands.
"S-so i'm the ch-chosen genin?" Hanataro asked quietly.
"YES! So be at the village air dock at 6am tomorrow morning! You'll be escorted to Yukikagakure and meet with your new team!!! I know it's alot to take in! But i know that you're the best person for the job!!!" The Teikage leaned right over her desk, grinning manically.
"I-I'll start pa-packing this evening then L-Lady Hi-Hinote," Hanataro said, blankly.
She wasn't shocked or surprised, but she didn't expect it either, she was just going with the flow.
"I've already informed your parents and they said it would be an HONOUR! To have their only daughter be the first to be on a combined team! But remember be polite always and don't screw up because this may become routine in the future!!!!!" Hinote snapped as her mother complex kicked in.
"Y-Yes Lady Hinote, o-of course, i-i'll do my best," Hanataro smiled.
"Now dear, don't leave this room until that hair is out of your face!!" Hinote pulled two clips from her waist sash and used them to clamp Hanataro's fringe to the sides of her face.
"Okay, bub-bye now! You get some rest you'll be travelling for a long time now!!" Hinote grinned again, flapping her hand wildly in a goodbye gesture.
Hanataro worried about her mental state sometimes.
As soon as she left the building she hastily removed the clips from her hair before returning home.
Hanataro looked up at the setting sun, so late already.
Tomorrow, she would start her journey as a genin of The Village Hidden in the Wind.

Kameko looks up as the Hana, Aki’s sister, walks back. I need to do something… make her look more like an idiot… Kameko thought. She then got an idea. She took a pencil out of her bag and threw the pointy side at Hana. Yes! Score! The sharp pencil bounces off of Hana’s head. She turns around, her eyes filled with tears. Hana tries to figure out who threw the pencil… but can’t seem to find the person. She burst out crying and the teacher looks up. “Why are you crying, Hana?” The teacher asked, obviously annoyed. “S-Someone th-threw a p-pencil at me!” She wailed as rubs her eyes. Great! She’s crying… >< I should have done that… now this is going to take forever! Kameko slammed her head onto her desk. While the teacher is comforting Hana, Kameko thinks… Great! An hour of detention with this teacher… Well, at least I got that other girl with me…I don’t have to die in detention…Kameko then soon to fall asleep, her black hair covering her whole entire head. Kameko had long black hair with dark red streaks in it. She normally ties it up into a high ponytail, but she decided to leave it down today.

Shiori giggled, it was so much fun seeing Hana cry her eyes out like that, and it would be worth detention for who ever did it. The amber eyed girl kept giggling until a teacher looked at her sharply,

"Yukimura! After class!"

He shouted, with the habit of calling her by only her last name. Shiori looked shocked; it wasn't her who threw the pencil! And how could she stay after class if she was graduating?

"Uh, Teacher..... I'm gonna be graduating, so no can do." The teacher just glared at her and said.

"Don't be so sure of that....." The teacher replied, his voice trailing off. He then mumbled something and went back inside the exam room. Whew that was a close one. she thought. Shiori then leaned back in her chair and a few seconds someone poked her in the arm. She turned around and saw Hana's and Aki's triplet brother Hiro, He was much nicer than the others.

"Ha ha I saw what you did to Aki, Nice one!" said the dark brown haired boy laughing. Shiori smiled in victory.

"Yeah I did! Ha, she looked like a fool! ...but do you know who made Hana cry?" she asked. The dark blue eyed boy thought for a moment then said

"I think it was Kameko she sits on the other side of the class room straight across from me and I saw the pencil fly from there." he replied, glancing back over at that direction. Shiori nodded, It was like Kameko to do that to them.

"Well that was a genius plan!" She said, because it was. She hadn't thought of throwing a pencil at Aki or Hana.

"Yeah, and I thought that my plan of putting molasses in there shampoo was a good idea." She replied, probably thinking of what happened. Shiori hid her laugh,

"You actually did?" She asked, barely able to hold in her laughter.

"Yeah, why do you think they are wearing those weird hats and WAYYYY too much flower perfume. Later they are going to get their long hair all cut off cause they couldn't get the molasses off it." He said also trying not to laugh.

"Let me guess.... You got a week of being grounded?" she asked.

"no actually two weeks this time, It wasn't as bad as when I put a fake mouse in both their rooms, They got so freaked out they were gonna call the anbu, I will never forget that!" He said laughing.

"Shut up if you don't want the teacher to yell at you-" she then stopped because someone yanked her hair backward, and since she was sitting backwards in her seat, she almost went flying over her desk.

"Watch it Yukimura! Hiro is mine if you know what's good for you!" Said a purple haired girl, She was one of the more popular people. And became 'friends' with Hana and Aki, just so she could see Hiro more often. Shiori just rolled her eyes.

"Shut up you stalker." she said. The purple haired girl stood in shock, Because Hiro was listening. She must actually stalk him.... she thought while turning back around. "I hate how mean she is, all I’m doing is talking to my friend." she said rather angrily.

"At least she doesn’t stalk you, one day I was talking a walk, and she was hiding in a tree following me, I walked underneath the tree and she fell out of the tree." said the dark blue eyed boy remembering the horrible time.

"I feel very sorry for you." she replied. Hiro nodded.

"Akiyama Hiro!" called the teacher.

"Wish me luck." he said to shiori as her walked over to the teacher.

"GOOD LUCK!" called out the purple haired girl. Shiori sighed and rolled her eyes. She would be the last one to test since the exams went alphabetically. She then leaned back in her chair again and looked around, there where still many people waiting. She counted about.... twenty seven. Then about five minutes for each exam.... She then did the math and got 135 minutes which was 2.25 hours. She sighed again; this was going to be a long time.

As she sat in her seat she made little paper shuriken and threw them at random people, mostly the mean, stuck up ones. Even though one almost did hit one of the teachers, she was hoping he didn't notice though. The amber eyed girl then threw one at the purple haired girl and it got stuck in her big, tangled mass of hair in her pony tail. It looked so funny. And she didn't even notice. So shiori threw one more and it hit the purple haired girl in the face. uh oh..... This is not good The purple haired girl was about to complain, but suddenly the teacher called her to take the test. She glared at Shiori, who smiled brightly. Then she walked up to the teacher, taking the paper shuriken out of her hair, crumpling it up, and throwing it into the waste basket.

Shoot, now what can I do to pass the time.....

Hanataro had never left the village before.
There was only two ways of entering or leaving the village; option A, a dangerous trek through trap filled mountains or option B, a flight on one of the tame creatures kept up in the busy dock.
Hanataro was taking option B although she'd much rather option A.
She was clinging on for dear life to the thick leather saddle that was strapped to the snowy gryphon's back.
"H-how long un-until we get there?" She stuttered as loud as she could.
"WHAT?!!" The aviator called back, unable to hear Hanataro over the wind.
"Ne-nevermind," She whispered.
The mountain plateaus, where the village was located, turned to flat grasslands.
eventually they rode a northern breeze and Hanataro saw the ocean for the first time, it was so huge!
"W-wow, i-it's so be-beautiful!" She gasped quietly to herself.
The gryphon banked right and then lowered down so it glided over the the surface of the water.
Hanataro was growing tired, she shut her eyes and dozed under the sun.
When she woke, she was freezing cold, snow drifted down slowly, coating the tundra in an eternal white.
Up ahead, barely visible through the snow, was the snowflake village.
"We're almost there!!!" The aviator yelled back.
Hanataro nodded and wiped her goggles of snow, before snuggling down in her layers of clothes.

Hanataro stepped off of the large white gryphon, taking her heavy pack from the aviator and smiled.
"Th-thank you," She bowed, before being escorted to the Yukikage.

She would meet her teammates soon, i wonder what they're like.

That's it..... I'm the only one left..... I'M ALMOST OUT OF THIS PLACE! Too bad Fuyu's so bad at ninja techniques that it will probably take him ten minutes.... Thought Shiori, she looked up at the clock it read two thirty five P.M.

Wow, finally.... It seemed like days..... And when will that Fuyu dude be done. I mean if he makes me stay here ten more minutes. I'm gonna get my pay back..... the amber eyed girl though. She knew that he was just about done by the clapping of teachers, and the whispers of 'good job' but did she really care? No. All SHE wanted to do was escape the academy and full fill her dream. Even though she didn't realize actually WHAT her dream was, she just wanted to find it and hold it close.... no she isn't talking about love. That is one thing that the multi colored haired girl hated, she had a bad impression on it though because of lots of girls fan girling over her friend Hiro.... but that was only half of it.

She saw the happy looking boy skip, literally skip like a young girl, out of the classroom actually humming a well known tune. The girl knew it was her turn so she just sat back and relaxed until they called her name.

The same teacher who had tried to give her detention then walked up to her, His bark black hair was flying all over the place.

Has this dude ever heard of a hair brush?

"Ehem... Shiori, since I can't give detention, unless you fail, all Im gonna do is make your test rather..... Harder you could say. The other teachers and I have discussed it. Now step into the testing room please." He said in his gruff voice. Shiori nodded and followed him to the room. Just as they where about to enter the wooden door the teacher said something quietly. "Ehem, Shiori, I hope you pass. I couldn't stand another day with you in ANY of my classes. Good luck!"

Wow, can I just go and be done with it already? She thought opening the door, reveling a plain white room with three academy teacher sitting behind a desk watching you.

"Ok, so what can I do?" the youngest of then just smiled her glossy pink lips and said.

"Sweetie, you can start by showing us your taijustu skills. No ninjustu allowed. You will be trying to successfully strike Suki-chan here!" Said the ice blue haired girl while pointing to another woman, unlike the other one who appeared to be about twenty, this woman was about 25. She had long black hair, black eyes, pale skin, and a long black dress on.

This'll be easy! She thought while getting in a fighting position. The other girl just stood there normally. AHHH SHE THINKS SHE CAN JUST BE LIKE, AH MOVVE IT, DON'T LIKE HIT ME, WAIT YA CAN'T HIT ME! Well ya better watch out is what I would say...

"Ok! 3....2....1.... BEGIN!"

Shiori attempted to quickly kick her straight in the jaw, but the other girl grabbed her foot now holding her upside down in mid air.

WHAT THE? SHE'S STRONG!

The amber eyed girl then swung backwards attempting to punch the teacher in the stomach when suddenly she was released, sent doing a mid-air summersault, and landing on her butt. While she was on the floor, she used the opportunity to grab the other ninja's left leg, which is the one the put most of her weight on, and pull it to the ground, then kicking her in the side. She slid across the floor but then all of a sudden she was picked up by the back of her shirt before she could even attempt to land a blow. Shiori then had an idea. She pretended to kick the older girl's stomach so Suki let go of her shirt, but Shiori was ready for that. Just as suki left go, and practically threw the multi colored haired girl across the room. Shiori hanged on to her making her go flying with her. They both then crashed into the wall. Shiori hitting her head and Suki falling into Shiori, squishing the academy student farther into the wall.

man, she ways a lot. she thought trying to block out the other's muffled laughs.

The ice blue haired woman stood up and said "Enough! I’m betting you wish you could heal your hurt head, correct sweetie?" Shiori nodded. " Well then here's an ice pack for now. And also, good move by the way, if you watched closely you would realize that you spun while falling, grabbing hold of Suki chan and pushing her while you where in mid air making her fall with you, the only problem was that Suki-chan here spun around just in time making you crash into the wall instead of yourself." She then handed her an ice pack which she put gratefully on her swollen head.

"Ehem, shiori, now all you need to do if work on your chakra control by opening some scrolls, that had precisely set chakra limits, It shouldn't be too hard for your clan specializes in chakra control, or how I’ve heard from Yukikage." I nodded and got the scroll he had in hand. A examined it. A simple chakra seal. I then opened it in a matter of seconds.

"Ohhhhh lookie here is says that suki-chan likes you!" Lied the academy student.

"Wh-what?" asked the black haired man blushing.

"Got ya!" She said then showed the teacher the blank scroll.

"Ohh....." he said under his breath. This made the youngest teacher giggle.

"Ok, now... Make three clones and you’re done!" she said in a sing song tone. The multi colored haired girl rolled her eyes. Easy. And in seconds made three clones.

"There, Can I have my head band now or not?"

"....yes..... You ......passed......with.....flying..... Colors......" replied Suki who had been standing behind her the whole time. She gave shiori a head band and the Now officially Genin ran out of the room

Meantime in the room

"Wow, I think she passed the special test. She's smart enough and strong enough to represent our village along with the other girl who was also chosen." said the ice blue haired girl.

"Yes.... wise.... decision...." Said Suki

"Indeed." Replied the black haired boy.

"Well, I hope out alliance with the wind stays strong, if not it could be quite bad."

Shiori ran out of the school, tied her headband lazily around her neck and hurried off to her house, she couldn't wait to tell everyone about her success. As she ran down the snow filled streets being careful not to slip she remembered something.

Yuki is going to be here to night! I can't wait to tell her the news! She is my cousin after all!

Shiori ran to the house and opened the large doors. Her clan was quite big with many people in it, including Yukikage, her cousin. She was greeted by her aunt's big white dog that tackled her and attacked her with doggy kisses. The new genin laughed and said.

"Hey girl, I’m in a rush, I'll play with you later though!" She then ran off to the main building, and saw her grandmother, YukiKage, her dearest aunts and uncles, and a few other cousins there.

"CONGRADULATIONS!" they said as she entered the room.

"T-Thanks!" She replied, so happy that she started to cry, everything was so wonderful.

Her grandmother had made apple pie, the best tasting thing she could cook. Today was going so good. Wonderful and good.
