February 2004. My cousin, a big-time Otaku-girl "forced" me to watch the first episode, and that is what furthered my interest in it. However, I believe sometime early in January of 2003, I saw a picture of Kakashi, and drew a copy of that picture. It was thrown away, and I forgot what Naruto was until that fateful day with my cousin. While I was a big fan of Batman, I loved comics when I was little. On a day meant to be spent buying and reading a Batman comic, I bought a Dragonball one instead. I loved it. I was pulled into the Anime/manga world by Dragonball, Yu Yu Hakusho, and Sailor Moon, which led me to read "Shonen Jump". From that magazine was the picture of Kakashi that I had drawn. After that, I had a hard time keeping up with the plot of Naruto due to money issues, and couldn't read the manga. But after that, it began airing on American television, and I watched it. Then I was introduced to the internet. That solved all of my money problems, I read it online, watched it online, and continued to follow the story as I was moved around, intrigued by all of the characters, and eventually started role-playing in an online comunity. Of course, Sasuke, having been my favorite when I was little, was my first Naruto RPC, but as I read further into the series online, I discovered Tobi, an exstatic, exciting, and funny (for once) villian. From the first moment I saw him bothering Deidara, he was my favorite. My RP friends still talk to me today, and my first girlfriend, whom I met in person, was introduced to me through my interest of Naruto as well. Ever since then, the Naruto series has had a major impact on my behavior, and I honestly don't know if I'd be the same person without it. It has had the same effect on me as Dragonball and Batman did when I was a kid. To this day, I follow it's story, buy the manga, enjoy Kishimoto-sama's art, watch the anime, play the games, and love Naruto for what it is; My favorite story.

Ahaha, I remember that day, kiddo. c: And look at us now, still reading it like way back.

Anyway, I've been reading it since it was first serialized in the US version of Jump. I'd seen a few chapters scanslated before that, but I only really got into it when I had a hard copy to read.

I met naruto when it first aired on Cartoon Network. My friend recommended it to me. i am willing to admit that when i first heard of it, i actually thought it looked stupid... i was uber wrong!!!! i watched naruto every saturday on toonami until it stopped airing. Then i came here and watched it here and finally i decided to join the forums. Best choice i have made since starting to watch naruto!!!!!

i first learned about naruto when i would be at the mall and make fun of the kids wearing the headbands and painting lines on their faces like naruto. then i figured i shouldnt knock it till i tried it so i watched naruto and got totally hooked on it......i sorry to all you that i made fun of i now understand the addiction..

It was a long time ago...i just truen on my t.v a sometime later it was Kakashi vs Zabuza I only saw part of it but i did see most. A few mouths later I saw another one but it was Hinata vs Neji I chouldent stop watching it! Then on a school trip i met a naruto firend. long story sort she help me catch up with every thing and I was hook.Naruto shows rocks!!!

i suddenly came across the english dub on toonami too!!!! (just started zabuza) didnt miss an episode till the filler arcs
