On this one website my brother goes to there was a lot of hate on Gaara. They were saying he was weird, that he was a social retard, and all that other stuff.... It made me sad. I like Gaara!!

if you look back at the original series
when Gaara was evil during the chunnin exams
he was quite likely the most popular character
I think he got less popular during Shippuden when he turned good
but yes I like Gaara he used to be my favorite character

I like Gaara but the Gaara he is now. If you had asked me whether or not he was weird or acted like a social retard when he first appeared then I would've said yes. I mean he had no love whatsoever and the people who were supposed to care wanted him dead, he had no friends or social life at all so that's why he was weird and obviously if he never interacted with people it made sense he was kind of like a social retard.

The important thing is he changed! I mean look at Sasuke if you need any consolation...for someone who was as popular, talented and loved as he was he turned out to be pathetic

I like Gaara, both from N and NS. Mostly NS though. He has more of a heart and friendlier personality than when he first appeared.

Yes, I love Gaara, I've never actually come across anyone who hates him. He's undergone a lot of character development since Part I, he's more of a friend to Naruto than Sasuke ever was.
