Deiders, Shikamaru can't reach him when he is flying, and Shika can't dodge any of his explosives.

You do realize that Shikamaru is a support type. Not exactly who you want against Deidara.

Deidara would win this. He could just fly on his bird out of range of Shikamaru's attacks and drop clay bomb things on him. I don't think Shikamaru could come up with a stragey to counter that. Besides for maybe just running away.

Shikamaru's best chance is to pin Deidara's bird shadow with the trench knives which is not easy to do.

Plus Shikamaru needs time and trickery to even get Deidara.

But Deidara is also a guy who loves to use misdirection with his explosives and clones too. Deidara is also more unpredictable than the Hidan Kakuzu duo.
