IIRC, Pain was actually several feet away from Tsunade and Naruto intercepted him halfway there. Not that it realy matters, I just like to nitpick.

Actually Naruto was said to be supersonic through calcs and what not, Naruto was on top of Gamabunta's head (which was near 100 meters tall iirc) and quite a distance away from Tsunade while Asura was right next to her about to kill her and Naruto was able to use his speed to hit Asura before he could strike Tsunade, and Asura was shown to be reasonably fast too. Naruto isn't even the fastest character on the series, at least I don't think he is, I'd think Killer Bee at the least is faster than him in tailed forms.

As for the others I'm too lazy to make calcs or find them.
Until the calculations are done (and again is anyone on this forum really credible enough to do them?) there are too many variables and assumptions being made then in the threads.

Also was Naruto said to be supersonic in the manga or did a forumer do some calculations. I personally do not trust the calc skills of someone unless they have a degree in physics.

If you have a college degree in physics though, then I will have to accept your calculations as legitimate. Otherwise I don't think anyone here can really prove without reasonable doubt the speed of certain characters, thus making much of this argument of Sasuke Vs Lee unprovable.

ur still throwing "sonic" around. i dont recall hearing the sound barrier burst when haku moved around...also, so u couldnt see him and u also couldnt see lee during chunin exams when he was bouncing gaara around like pinball...u cant just say that lee must be faster because its later in the story or w/e. the only evidence ive heard that would actually serve as a calc for hakus speed is the 13 or however many lines back and forth from his senbon as a drop of water was falling...if u know how far it fell u could crunch some numbers...til then, everyones speed is being wanked.

Do there need to be sonic booms every freaking time someone uses superior speed to sound speed? =/

There are multiple instances where people clearly surpass sound speed but the author doesn't notice this or is too lazy to draw sonic booms. And? That suddenly means they aren't sound+ speed since the author doesn't know of speed calcs and what not?

This is probably the reason why noobs think Haku is light speed, they take the words of the author (who doesn't know crap about speed calcs) literally and seriously believe it.

without it being stated or clear evidence like sonic booms, how is it "clear" that theyve surpasses speed of sound?

I am unsure on that, although I'm inclined to believe that it is transonic or sonic, considering it was unable to get past Gaara's sand, which is probably transonic as well.

Don't take my word for it though, it's a guess, it's hard to gauge Amaterasu's speed. I would guess Amaterasu would be transonic though considering Itachi's hit Sasuke, who was around that speed.

lol so when it comes to speed, the author doesn't have say, but when it comes to manga vs anime, then the author's word is all powerful....

You guys just pick and choose whatever supports your argument.

If there was something in filler that described speed, like maybe Naruto and Kakashi spend an episode calculating their speed and explicitly discuss their difference speeds and it makes since mathematically, would you accept that I wonder?

What you don't get is that speed has nothing to do with the actual story. The author has the final say on the story because he created it. However, he does not have the final say on speed, if the fastest feat shown was somebody running at normal human speed and he claims it to be omnipresent, would you believe it? I sure hope you wouldn't or that is just gullible. You're twisting what I say to try and think you're correct, the author creates the canon of a story, not the concept of speed. If you think that Kishi created speed then you need help. Your ignorance is why I tend to disagree with you, you make desperate attempts to try and be correct and yet you produce so much BS with it. Speed feats=/=Manga canon. Next time try to use more intelligence when thinking out your post, no durr Kishi is the #1 say in manga canon, you have no way to disprove it since it's the truth. If Kishi could calc speed more reliably I'd take the databook more seriously but Lightspeed Haku is fail. I bet you believe it too.

No I would not accept it, because the anime creators may claim Naruto to be light speed even though it took 3 days to travel to Sand Village. Plus it is filler, filler never happened. Filler is made for entertainment while the manga progresses forward, not for canon debates.
