Earth Style>Water Style. He could stop all of Kisame's water Style Jutsu with his Clay Explosions, and also he has an aerial advantage. Water Suitons couldn't reach him or do much damage considering Earth Style Bombs. I also doubt that Samehada can absorb an entire C3 explosion, since KB was able to get in a Lariat.

No, but Samehada can. However, they're small, so they would float past Samehada and Kisame would inhale them. Then he would be blowed up and die. He could probably also breath them in through his gills, so he can't escape it.

Well i think it depends on there stamina i pretty sure kisame can use water prision to capture all the bombs. But it depends how long he last.
But Deidara takes this he can fly all day he only needs enough clay to win this battle.

He can't capture the bombs, because they're Earth Style. Water Prison is, obviously, Water Style. Earth Style beats Water Style, so the explosions would destroy the Water Prisons.

Deidara wins, not only does he have the aerial advantage but Earth Style>Water Style, so his bombs can get through Kisame's water and blow him up with one of his stronger bombs.

That's still Water Style. Deidara's clay is still Earth Style. Deidara would stop it with C1 or C2.

It can't reform on it's own, C2 would destroy it. Plus, Deidara would still have an aerial advantage.

I say Deidara wins. Earth Style beats Water, and Deidara also has an advantage in long range and aerial attacks. I also doubt that Samehada can absorb attacks on the scale of C3.

Deidara is a fail. C3 takes prep time.. and Kisame can spit out enough water to go completely underwater.. If Deidara launches C3, he can slip under the wave and the clay would be useless. I doubt the C3 couldn't be absorbed by the Sala, but this is clearly a counter for those who think C3 is the win.

Nothing else will work, Kisame uses water which means the clay will break apart on contact.

If Deidara comes down close enough to launch accurate bombs, Kisame can counter with Water Dragon, destroying the clay bird. We all know Kisame has an extreme amount of chakra, and a simple wave counters everything.

Not to mention he can launch his Salamanda, once it comes close to the clay bird it will suck the chakra from it.. destroying it.. leaving Deidara in freefall, and an easy kill for Kisame's clones.

Water isn't gonna reach Deidara when hes in the Air.

Kisame doesn't have water Dragon, Deidara can kill Kisame with C4.

He doesn't have a Salamanda, Kisame's clones can't reach Deidara in the Air.

I was thinking of something similiar to this, but some attacks even though Kisame can most likely do them since they are not that hard to use and Kisame using water jutsu, he hasn't shown to be able to, so they will most likely just counter with no feats.

I was also thinking about how people are assuming Deidara already starts off on his bird, or C2 dragon. I like how you also mentioned about people not taking into consideration the prep time for C3, and C4. Samehada should be able to absorb anything below C3 also. Not to mention any minor damage can just be healed by his Samehada.

If Deidara does get into the air then Kisame would use some of range jutsu to try to take out the bird/dragon, or throw his Samehada at it, just some opinions on what he would do, not saying they would hit for sure. Another thing that could be possible to counter C4 is if Kisame merged with his Samehada wouldn't it be able to absorb the chakra from the bombs. ( just a thought)

I am still not totally sure who would win, but I am pretty sure it would be more then a simple earth beats water fight.

To the people who say Kisame's bubble can't reach him, it can, the bubble was higher then the level which birds were flying at. At the very least get on top of the bubble and jump from there.

If a lot of normal sand blocked C3, the water bubble could potentially do it, plus I've seen people argue in other thread it's not part of his standard equipment and C4 requires a lot of prep Deidara might not get the chance to do it, if he did Kisame's skin in fused state could probably just absorb it, Samehada regen and his quick speed could counter the other smaller bombs.

Deidara has the elemental advantage though, so I'm unsure on who wins.
