Chapter Thirty-nine: A Broken Heart~

"No...NO!!!" Tears fell from my eyes. I was too frightened to look through The Red Tiger's eyes to see what had happened. I was afraid of what I might see. Kye torn to pieces? Blood gushing out of his body, and bones exposed? It was too much to even think about. Suddenly a single voice rang in my ears. "RYAQUE!!!!!" Katsuro's booming voice woke me from my frantics. The Red Tiger roared from pain and swung at Katsuro with her availible tails. The snap was her leg, Katsuro had broke it in order to save Kye. Kye fell from her grasp and pulled out another arrow and set it into his bow. "Katsuro, stay away from her!" He pointed it at the vampire and glared sickeningly. Katsuro crouched low to the ground and glared at Kye just as sickeningly, if not more. "You pretend you love her, but what do you do for her? You just stand around and stare at her...she's just a trophy for you to win! She's better then that and deserves better then you!!" The Red Tiger growled at them both and crouched as well. This battle was going to be tough.I just knew it. "Now I can kill you both...to stop her heart from loving and shoving me into a cage!!" The Tiger said and lunged forward, mouth wide open, and tried to bite Kye. Kye dodged, but got a small graze on his arm from the teeth. Katsuro lunged forward, completely ignoring the 3 ton giant cat, and tried to tear Kye in two. Kye dodged again and stabbed Katsuro in the shoulder with the improvized stake. Katsuro didn't even show any pain and tackled Kye to the ground and barred his teeth. A black, firey, tail swung and knocked them both into a tree. The trunks snapped liked twings. Kye screamed as his spine snapped. He was paralized and couldn't move at all. Katsuro only got the wind knocked out of him. He looked at Kye, then me, then back at Kye. "I'm insaine..." He stood infront of Kye and hissed eerily. "I know you're not Ryaque, you're the monster inside of her. The Red Tiger right? Let me tell you....RYAQUE LOVES ME! KYE NO LONGER MATTERS TO HER!! I'M THE ONE YOU WANT TO KILL!!!" Katsuro pulled out a set of twin swords and roared almost as loud as the foe he was facing. The Red Tiger gave a look of pure pleasure and crouched low to the ground again. "Very well...I'll kill you first!" In a flurry of fur and wings, the Tiger lept onto Katsuro and snapped her jaws, hopping to latch onto him and pull off his arm or leg, or maybe even his head if she was lucky. Katsuro dodged the jaws of death and stabbed the giant paw with one of his swords, and the other he threw up into it's throat. Her eyes shot wide open and she reared up and made a half roaring, half gargling blood noise. "You....you....YOU!!! I WILL GET YOU FOR THIS!!!" The Tiger fell onto it's back and it's eyes closed. Tails hanging limp, and blood weeping out of her wounds...it appeared the creature was dead, or at the very least defeated. "Ryaque, RYAQUE!!!" Katsuro ran over in a split second and rubbed his hand across it's furry face. "Ryaque, please...come back...come back to me. RYAQUE DON'T LEAVE ME!!" The fight had worn away on Katsuro's determination to keep his frantics hidden. Now he cried and shook with great sobs as the body lay still. Inside I was fighting a battle of my own. The spirit of The Red Tiger appeared inside the cage and tried to kill me. I fought and squirmed and slipped through the bars, but now I was holding it back...it seemed the cage that once held her wouldn't last much longer. "GO AWAY! DISAPPEAR! I'M NOT A PUPPET FOR YOU TO USE!! I'M THE MASTER AND YOU'RE THE STUPID CAT!! LEAVE ME ALONE!!"

My body turned into it's original form. Cat ears, tail, and torn black and white dress, or black, white, and RED dress. Katsuro seemed alittle more hopeful and set my head on his lap. "Ryaque...please...open your eyes...please." He leaned in close and kissed me on my forhead. My fingers twitched and, with some difficulty, opened my eyes. "I'm...here....Katsuro..." I choked out past my wound on my throat. Katsuro lifted me up and smiled; tears of sorrow turned to tears of joy. "Ryaque..." I smiled and rubbed my head against him. Then my eyes caught sight of Kye. Kye's body looked mangled and beaten. Bone protruded out of his skin, dripping with blood. The look of pure shock was the look on his face. When his spine snapped he was killed almost instantly, but in the instant he was still alive...he must have been in agonizing pain. "Kye........not....again...." I buried my head into Katsuro's chest and sobbed great sobs that shook us both. Katsuro turned and carried me towards everyone else, but never took his eyes off of me.

"Is my brother going to survive?" Yuki asked in tears as Aikiri looked over his body. Aikirigave a skeptical look at his body and shook her head. "I would bring him back...if this was his first time dying. He was already given a second life...there's nothing I can do." Yuki fell to her kness and screamed. "NO...NO!!! RYAQUE, YOU DID THIS!!! ARE YOU HAPPY NOW?!?! YOU'RE A MURDERER!!! YOU KILLED MY BROTHER!!!" Yuki turned towards me and held the chain in her hands. I lay on the sled I used to pull Katsuro, completely helpless to protect myself, and completely engulfed in my sorrow. My body was there, but my mind wasn't. All I felt was sorrow and blackness...Ryu glared at me and unsheathed his sword, joining his sister in their rage. "You ARE a monster Ryaque!! I NEVER SHOULD'VE TRUSTED YOU!! YOU'RE JUST A DAEMON THAT CRAVES FOR DEATH AND BLOOD!!!" Katsuro stood infront of me and glared at them. "To touch her you go through me!!" He made a low and creepy growl and made Yuki and Ryu jump back alittle. Kiyomaru took away Yuki's chain and held her back from me. Aikiri took Ryu's weapons and held Ryu back as well. I couldn't speak. My voice was gone from the wound on my throat, and my hand had a giant scar on it now. It seemed The Red Tiger wouldn't heal the wounds she received...she just gave them to me. Katsuro glanced down at me and had pure guilt in his eyes. "I'm sorry Ryaque...if I hadn't attacked Kye in the first place he would still be alive right now...and you wouldn't have lost control. This is all my fault." I wanted to tell him no. I wanted to jump up into his arms and cry my heart out, but I couldn't. I couldn't move without seeing Kye's body, or being held back by pain and sorrow. The Red Tiger was right...she could break free now that she had broken my heart. Now it was only a matter of time before I lost control again...How many more will I kill? Will...anyone stop me? Please...someone kill me...

Chapter Fourty: Realizing The Trueth~

"WHAT?!?! YOU LET RYAQUE ESCAPE?!?! YOU FOOL, YOU IDIOT! I WISH SHE HAD KILLED YOU!!" Seargent Wilks yelled when he heard the news about the villagers being saved and the soldiers deafeted. "I...I...I'm sorry sir, but I could do anything. I was pinned to a tree. Sir, there was nothing I could do." "You're wrong. There is ALWAYS a way to defeat a daemon in ANY situation." Seargent Wilks pulled out a silver revolver and hung it on his finger. "Do you know what this is?" "A...revolver...sir?" The lower officer asked while getting rather nervous. "No, it's not a revolver...it's your executioner." Before he could even realize what that meant, a single bullet whole appeared between the officer's eyes. He was dead instantly and fell to the floor. "Damn it, Ryaque, you won't get away next time...I will find you, and I will kill you...just like you killed my family..." Seargent Wilks sat in his chair and radioed in for someone to take care of the body.

"Ryu, are you alright?" Aikiri wrapped her arms around Ryu's shoulders, trying to comfort him. Ryu had barely spoken a word to anyone. He completely fell inside himself. Not even Aikiri to prenetrate his sadness. "Ryu, I know you're upset, but that wasn't Ryaque, it was the monster stuck inside of her. She didn't kill Kye...the monster did..." Aikiri rested her head against his shoulder and hummed softly, trying everything she could to make him look away from the ground. "Is that supposed...to make me feel better, Aikiri? Knowing my brother...was killed by a monster?" Ryu spoke and clenched his fists. "Stop..." "Stop what Aikiri?! Stop mourning my brother or stop wanting to kill that....that....HER!!!" Ryu shoved Aikiri away and stood up and glanced at the sled. "Ryaque, are you proud of yourself?!?! Once again, you prove to us all you're a murderer! Kye loved you, and what do you do?!?! YOU KILL HIM!!!" Yuki stood next to her brother and both of them kept glaring at the sled. Kiyomaru stood up and shoved them both onto the ground. "Okay, let me get this through both of your thick skulls! Ryaque is NOT A MONSTER!! SHE COULDN'T CONTROL THE RED TIGER! The next time either of you insult her like that, I will tear you to pieces!!" Aikiri looked confused..."Kiyomaru, it's not like you at all to threaten people..." "Don't forget I'm a daemon too, and...I haven't eaten in over a month...plus...it reminds me of the time...Ryaque was..." Kiyomaru trailed off as he gave a terrifying glace at Yuki and Ryu; he walked over and sat next to the sled afterwards. Aikiri walked over to where I lay and changed out my bandages. "Don't worry Ryaque, you'll be up and walking in no time..." She reasurred me and smiled. I just starred blankly into space. I wasn't even paying attention to what was going on...all I wanted was death. I wanted now to die more then ever. I killed someone I had held highly in my heart, and yet it wasn't completely broken. Did that mean I was really a monster that didn't have a heart? Or...did it mean that I am just used to heart break by now? Katsuro sat next to me and never left my side. Each day his eyes grew brighter and brighter. He was hungry, but he somehow ignored his pain and stayed with me. I wonder...if I could learn a thing or two...about control from Katsuro...

(flash back)

"Go away!! Go away!!" I screamed as I ran as fast as I could away from the hounds coming after me, followed by the people intent on killing me. "C'mon men, she's up ahead!" A man called on a horse. He pushed his steed on and easily caught up to me. In a brave move he jumped off and tackled me to the ground. "Leave me alone....leave me alone!' Tears came to my eyes. I tried to shove him off but he was too heavy and I was weak from hunger. "Not a chance girly...I'm taking you with me..." He handcuffed me and dragged me away behind his horse to be taken back to the village I had just run away from.

That village...those people...THEY are the reason I am like this. They chained me to a wall for who knows how long....they stripped me down and whipped me with leather whips with pointed spikes on the end. They poured acid onto me and burned me with hot water. They starved me till I was skin and bone and had barely the strength to breath. "Please...please...let me go..." I would beg everyday till I lost my voice...They cut off my ears and tail and they poured acid into my wounds. All day long I lived in a hell far deeper then anything anyone should experience. I suffered for over 100 years...just barely given enough animal meat to survive for another day, and water I only got from the dripping in my cell. I was on the verge of dying so many times, but somehow something kept pulling me through...not a day went by I didn't hate them. Humans...constantly covering me with my own blood, torturing me for what I was. A daemon, something I was born as...they blamed me for it...and I hated them all. I hated the men who captured me, I hated the men and woman that tortured me, and I even hated the childeren who would grow up just like their parents...then one day I was saved. Kiyomaru had broken into my prison cell, hoping to get a good meal for himself, and he stummbled upon me. Hanging from a cell, and at first he thought I wad dead. "Poor thing...." "Who's...there?" Those two words saved my life. Kiyomaru had broken me out and saved me, and taught me how to fight humans...this was far before the war even started...but him and I were friends ever since...

(present)

Now I see...I finally get it...no matter how much good I do...I will still be the same monster, but...for once in my life...I can finally say...I don't care. I can save people, and I can make them happy, and though there will always be evil in the world...I'll stand up for what is right. I'll stand up and speak for those who can't speak for themselves...I don't care about what I have inside of me...my parents trusted me to control it...and that's exactly what I'll do...Slowely and aquardly...I stood up from the sled. My wounds were far from healed, but I didn't care. I walked a couple of steps when I should've been resting, but still I didn't care. I walked over to Yuki and Ryu, receiving unwelcome glances from them. "I know...you hate me...and I know you would never forgive me...but...I don't care! I didn't kill Kye, but I promise no one will ever be killed by that monster again...I cross my heart and give my word as a daemon...I will make this war end, but not by killing all the humans of this world...no...this world is for humans, daemons, vampires, and werewolves alike....."Ryaque....what are you...." Katsuro started but then smiled. "I understand now...you finally get it...don't you?" "Yes...now what do you say we go and pay Seargent Wilks alittle visit?" They all agreed.

YAY! I finally finished reading all of that. Oh and one question, How long can deamons live with out eating?

and i think that aquamarine, ginger and scarlet where saved and allinced with sergent wilks to kill ryaqaue. But He hates deamons though but it seems that he just hates ryaque only and if the three help him, he could just kill aquamarine, scarlet and ginger after they help him kill ryaque.

Edit: wait.... I have a feeling that Mikiko will also be there too. When will the next chapter be out? I'm Curious who will be there.

Chapter Fourty-one: The Beginning Of The End, Part I~

"Ryu and Yuki, both of you stay here. Humans shouldn't be in a fight of this magnitiude." "Do you think we're weak?" I shook my head. "No, but it's too dangerous. You two will stay behind with Kiyomaru, understood?" They both nodded. Kiyomaru scratched his head. "So wait, I'm their baby-sister? Uh Ryaque, that's cold...." I laughed and set my hand on his shoulder. "Kiyomaru, I trust you with my life, and I know you'll keep these two safe. Please, protect them." Kiyomaru nodded. "With my life, you just come back. Ya here me girl? I got a big bet on you winning." I gave a puzzled look. "Against whom?" Yuki looked away and started whistling. "Oh...."

"Ryaque, what's the plan?" Katsuro asked as we all ran through the woods, jumping from branch to branch in order to avoid being seen. "The way I figure it it's not going to be easy. Hundreds of guards, thousands of weapons, and I have a feeling Wilks will have plenty of surprises. We just break in and stop anyone that gets in out way." Aikiri ran up next to me and gave me a confused look. "I thought you didn't want to kill humans anymore. Did you change you're mind?" I shook my head. "I'll try not to kill them, but I am very hungry..." Katsuro laughed. "I hear that..." "Hey, Aikiri, how are you doing on that special order I asked you to work on?" Aikiri grinned. "She's right behind us, along with Uncle Daichi." I nodded and once again took the lead. "She? Who is she?" Katsuro asked, but didn't get a single answer. "Ryaque, hello?"

There we all stood before a well hidden tower. It smelled of humans and blood, and this was definitely where Wilks was hiding. "Alright everyone, I don't know what to expect in there...so if you want to back out now...I won't hold it against you." Katsuro smiled and shook his head. "No, this will be too much fun to pass up." "Just try to stop me." "It's about time I did something to make up for my mistake so long ago. I'll fight till my last breath." I nodded. "Good. Aikiri, is she here yet?" She glanced behind her at a cloaked figure and grinned. "Yup, she's here." The cloaked figure stepped forward and pulled off her hood. "Miss me, Ryaque?" It was Kiyomi, completely reborn. "Ki..Ki...Kiyomi?" Katsuro stepped back and nearly started crying. Kiyomi glanced at him but made no other signs of noticing him. "Ryaque, who's he? Do I know him?" "No, you don't know him." I replied to Kiyomi but was looking straight towards Katsuro. "Now c'mon, we have a tower to destroy..."

In we all ran. Two vampires, two daemons, and one really old guy with unknown knowledge against near 10,000 troops and who knowns how many guns...piece of cake. The first wave of soldiers charged, but Aikiri easily knocked them all out with her dark aura. "Great job Aikiri." "There's still a lot more, don't congradulate me yet." Her entire body became engulfed in the dark aura, and she pulled out a sword and completely split it into two. "Time to end this war once and for all."

It seemed like we had been fighting for hours, but finally all the troops were defeated. "Is that it? I expected this to be more fun...I'm not even full yet..." Kiyomi whinned and wiped the blood away from her mouth. "How am I related to you again?" "Hey, Ry! I didn't expect to see you here...oh wait...who am I kidding? I've been waiting for you." I froze..."No...im...impossible...FLARA?!?!" There she stood, not dead. She smiled as her body completely became engulfed in flames. "The one and only." With a flick of her finger, a giant wave of fire shot at us. "Everyone, run!!!"
