About Signatures

I really didn't know where to post this, so hopefully I don't get blasted for putting it here. I tried posting it under rules and policies, but I was forbidden access.

Anyways, I've noticed that in these Naruto forums, nobody has an image, custom picture, artwork, design etc. in their signatures. Why is this? I read the forum rules pretty closely, but didn't see anything against having images in your signature (besides Viz-related ones). Hopefully someone can shed some light on this for me.

When you first log in theres a list of subjects, or frequently asked questions. I hope that leads you the right direction.

If your asking about pictures such as 3D pics in your Sig. I believe you have to ask a MOD to gain Access.
Also you can post questions in the ANBU thread....just for future reference.

Hopefully I don't sound stupid for asking this, but why is that the reason all images must be approved by a moderator? I understand the copyright on Viz images, but I don't understand why that would affect all other images.

Maybe I'm not getting my actual thoughts out right.

What I mean is, if I wanted to have a picture of an animal, sport, design, or some other uncopyrighted picture in my signature, why must that be approved by the mods?

Because if they didn't need to be approved by mods, some people would put inappropriate things.

With 10,000 members, there just aren't enough hammers.

And it takes a lot more to get banned here than it does other forums.

Exactly. I mean, the mods aren't going to be looking around at everyone's sig to see who has a bad/inappropriate pic all day. That won't make their job fun. Same with the rest of the mods.

That's a good point, I guess it would be something close to total anarchy if bothersome people decided to put in enough effort. And Viz would be dealing with parents and pitchforks if the kids on here were exposed to inappropriate images

plus, if people were allowed to put pictures in their signatures, they're most likely to overlook the copyrighted stuff and put in a copyrighted picture.

You can post a pic. And you have to ask a Mod for the picture to show. But it can not be involved with any Viz-related pictures due to legal reasons.
