well guys, the mayans stopped the calendar on 2012 cuz they just ENDED it there I mean what do you expect? The mayans should keep going and going and going and going and going forever with teh calendar?! No...the world has an ending which you can't point out to so this 2012 prediction is a huge lie which shockingly, more than half the people in the world believe in -_\\ so yea : /

There are five cycles in the Mayan calender. The first and third cycles represent masculine elements and the 2nd and fourth are feminine elements. The fifth cycle is supposed to be a mixture of both masculine and femine energies that are supposed to bring peace and stability NOT TOTAL DESTRUCTION. The people hyping it up with the books were just trying to cash in on peoples fears and it worked. One of them claims that there will be a planetary alignment and the earth will be at the center of the universe causing tectonic plates to shift and natural disasters to happen on a catastrophic scale that will supposedly destroy everything. The chief executive of NASA said that there is no planetary alignment for 2012 and he said the earth being at the center of the universe "is to put it bluntly, a lie." I'm also a Christian and believe that man has no idea when the world will end. Only God does.

im not really afraid of 2012, but i am kinda scared about the whole meteor thing that's going to hit in 2036 or so. idk if its just media scare too, but even if it isnt, all that's necessary to make everything better is to remember the wise words sung by a warthog and a meerkat
