If I look at it from a NaruSaku fan POV. I would really not want a Tsunade and Jaraiya romance between them.

Worst of all, Tsunade and Jaraiya gave up on Orochimaru when he left.
So I'm sure that NaruSaku has to over come these obsticles. I wouldn't be suprised if they did.

You are indeed correct Grapefruit, this is Kishimoto's first Manga series. Also, both of those series are nowhere near the way Naruto is, they're in completely different sub-genres (Geass is Mecha, and Death Note is more supernatural).

My thing is that there's no way that there can be a completely happy ending, but at the same time, there shouldn't be one where it's unhappy either. I believe that Bitter-sweet is the way that the series is going to end. And yes, the story is far from over, we've got so many developments coming around that we have no clue how long this is going to take, but at least two more years (personally, I can see it going for five more, but we'll see.).

i understand that the autheors are comletly different but yes...i wouldnt expect it too happy. i would expect someone to die, and maybe naruto take the place as kage after more people as iconic to the series such as kakshi, and sasuke die along the way.

Ok, Sasuke to Sakura AND Naruto in Part 1: GW, Sasuke never show any sign of him even respecting them. The only moment he ever truly admit it was during the fight with Naruto at Valley of the end. Most of the things that he do "for them" are usually only because its important for him, pretty egoistic imo. I also read the manga ONLY FYI. :P

Sasuke NOT chrging to Sakura first: During that time, what Sasuke do was catching BOTH of them off guard. However, in a group fight where you took the enemy by surprise, the strategy is to take out the enemy that can pose the greatest danger. While there were also Yamato, Kakashi and Sai, Two of em are Jounins and Sasuke attacking em would be either foolish at best or suicide at worst while Sai was a wild card that he don't know about. His strike was going toward Naruto because he knows that he pose much greater danger than Sakura (in his mind at least) and therefore must be taken out first. When his attack to naruto blocked, his next mindset would be to decrease the enemy by at least 1 person and Sakura was the next best target.

Sasuke knowing Madara's motive: How the hell should he know Madara's motive when even Pein who has been with him way longer doesn't? Madara is a master of deception and Sasuke is a person with 1 track mind. in Sasuke's mind, it doesn't matter what Madara wants to do as long as he got his revenge, just like how he went to Orochimaru despite knowing that He's an S-class criminal. What Madara need to say was that he will HELP him get his revenge and Sasuke will support him regardless what his real intention is.

Sai knowing Naruto's feeling: Sai might be a novice when it comes to others feeling but seeing that he has developed enough self-conciousness to go against years of Danzo's teaching speaks volume to how much he goes from the emotionless doll to someone with at least half decent knowledge about others. while he actually learning emotions from the book, remember that while books doesn't possess the most accurate description on human emotion but its another story entirely if he connects what he learns from the book to real life. The fact that he can see Naruto's feeling shows how much he has come from the first time he met em.

the "Date": The date in part one where Sakura invite Naruto for ramen happens JUST after the hospital scene. During the hospital scene, she saw for the first time how Sasuke won't hesitate to raise his weapon against his own commrade/teammate. What she need after was closure and assurance that the Sasuke she knows/believe was still the same. In the whole village, Naruto was probably the person that knows about Sasuke's situation the most, thats why she goes for him.

POAL Love/Not: Naruto's POAL was done BECAUSE Sakura asked him for it. Granted he also do it for himself but the fact that Sakura was the one requesting it was the thing that cemented his resolve. Remember, before he go what he said was NOT about himself or his feeling but that he KNOWS how SAKURA was feeling and thats why he will go and try his hardest to bring Sasuke back. To him, his promise to Sakura probably the top importance for him (or at least damn near the top) so much that he believe that he have no right to tell her his true feeling at part two because he couldn't fulfill the promise.

I have to agree that while POAL doesn't necessarily means love but it sure shows how Naruto put Sakura's feeling above his own.

Then I enjoy how we see it differently. Well I'm not from Japan (( Maybe you arn't either? )) And the main thing is that the story is not aimed for any outside countries.

I saw it completely different. Where Sasuke sacrifieced himself many times without meaning to. Because he was growing a bond with them and he felt it was making him weaker.

I believe your right about Sai and him making that conecction with real life. Untill the next chapter (( maybe )) we'll know if that was a something he confermed about Naruto or something he thought he saw in Naruto. Though what you say makes sense.

I still see Sai as someone who doesn't understand these things. But the way the stories going you may have me convinced.

I believe she saw Sasuke as being hostile toward Naruto more than a teammate in genral. Because he did try to stop himself when she interfied in his and Naruto's fight.

I like how she goes to Naruto for help. Though the fact that Naruto, even though he and Sasuke understand eachother best in the whole village, he didn't understand Sasuke's condition. Sakura just knew that Sasuke wasn't acting normal.

Though even as I read over it. Naruto was set out to get Sasuke back. And The POAL seemed to concrete it for him, as you say. I still see it as a whole Team 7 thing more than anything.

The only time he did that was during Wave Arc by shielding Naruto from Haku's Needles. That was probably the only time when he show even a shred of compassion for his teammate. Err... I don't remember ever reading that Sasuke tried to stop his jutsu but I might have missed it. then again at that stage Sasuke hasn't truly abandoned them yet until the VoTE fight with Naruto.

Someone who knows the BEST about a person does not necessarily know a lot about the person. merely that he/she's the best source of information that you can get. Naruto fits the role when it comes to Sasuke at that time. At that time, what Sakura was looking for was NOT information about Sasuke, just assurance that he's still the Sasuke she knows and Naruto provide just that.

what I mean as friends recommended was that they always comes to me for solution/help when they are facing internal problem, I kind of have a knack to connect with someone emotionally when I heard about his/her situation, thats why I can understand how they feel and what they need to hear. I'm not an official Psychologist, although many of my friends said that I should have taken that major rather than business XD

I guess it couple just be a Fairy Tale romance. Though I'm happy either way if Kishimoto makes it NaruSaku. I just thought he'd take a different route. Or make everyone happy with an open ending.

My friends come to me for conversation in general. I'm way to surrounded by all seven of my siblings to think about it.
