I know that, and I have no beef with YOU bacon, what I was saying is that you can't ignore the big picture like you were saying their arguments were. That's why I bolded the part I did. Just because I quoted you doesn't mean I'm commenting on your entire post, just that section I bolded. I was saying that even though they have a chance, theirs doesn't have near as much going for it as NaruSaku does, and that I heavilly doubt that Kishi would develop a Brother-Sister relationship more than a romantic one when main characters are involved, that's all.

I didn't mean that Naruto no longer has feelings for Sakura, I meant that he not really thought about Hinata OR Sakura romantically since he's returned. I just reread chapter 458, I thought Sai had a little flashback of a defining point when he figured out Naruto loved Sakura, but he just kind of discerned it over a long period of time as far as i can tell. So I don't think that he's just forgotten about Sakura because of Hinata, but he just hasn't shown any movement towards either of them since he went after Sasuke.

I didn't say he thought about Sakura specifically. And I didn't say he had a flashback, he THOUGHT about them, looking at it again he was actually comparing his new team to his old team, so it could just be me being optimistic that he still cares for team 7 a little. And he DID think back to it, chapter 414 page 16.

also, after that he uses Amaterasu on Killer Bee, indicating he was doing it for Suigetsu, Karin, and Jugo (again, could just be my interpretation but it seems very prevalent to me that he's doing it for their lives.

Actually, Naruto had at least a couple hours, if not a day or two, inbetween coming back from his fight with Pein and learning about Sasuke.

We saw that he came back, gto embraced by the villagers, and then when we see him next, he is chatting with Sakura while the rebuilding of Konoha is already well under way.

The fact that Tazuna and Inari had time to get there from 450 to 451 also indicates the passage of some time.

Now, Kishimoto could show us Naruto talking to Hinata through a flashback, but as it stands, Naruto had the time to speak with Hinata, and is instead shown hanging out with Sakura.

To be honest, Kishimoto has made no mention that Naruto is even interested in Sakura since those chapters.

Umm...did you not read chapter 457, 458, and 459? All of those were fairly heav on pairing issues - NaruSaku to be specific.

I kind of doubt that he'd just make the Narusaku pairing happen because that would crush hinata terribly. Think about it, Hinata's entire ninja life has been trying to get noticed by Naruto or trying to be like Naruto. If Naruto was suddenly with Sakura, she'd be heartbroken, and while i don't think suicide is likely, perhaps she'd abandon her career as a ninja?

Yes, because her smile at Naruto and Sakura's hug, which sure as hell is considered a romantic gesture by Japanese culture, shows just how heartbroken she'd be. Oh, she totally looked ready to up and quit her ninja career right there on the spot!

Seriously, Hinata is not a frail little girl - there is more to her character than Naruto, and there was more to her confession than simply letting Naruto know how she felt. It was about character development and closure.

If Kishimoto has shown anyone to be close to heartbroken over a relationship happening, it would be Naruto and his reactions to SasuSaku.

We've had:

• Naruto's sad and almost bitter smile over Sakura hugging Sasuke in the hospital
• Naruto's sad expression and words when he was making the Promise of a Lifetime
• Naruto's expression over Sakura crying to Karui's question

Sasuke has never been shown to give one fig over who Sakura likes (and no, the hospital scene doesn't show he's jealous of her - he was jealous of Naruto's power, period. Because if he was really jealous over Sakura paying attention to Naruto, then why would he smack the apples out of her hand and then completely ignore her and why would he tell her that it was Naruto who saved her in the first place if he really wanted to keep her affections focused on him?)

Hinata, likewise, has never been shown to be upset over Naruto showing affection, or vice versa, to or with another girl.

At any rate, if Sakura ends up telling Naruto that she loves him, I'll throw something at my computer...

Edit: I forgot to even mention sasusaku . I don't really care about what happens with sakura (as long as it's not Narusaku haha), but I do agree that Sasuke has some feelings for his old team.

I think it was when Sasuke was fighting the Hachibi, he thought about Naruto, Sakura, and Kakashi, it wasn't elaborated on if i recall, but it makes me think he might someday come back. Possibly cause I think the final battle will be Naruto+Sasuke vs. Madara w/ 8 tailed beast powers O.o

It doesn't - Sakura wasn't focused on, she was shown as a part of the group. He seems to still care for, but only as part of Team 7 and a former comrade. There has been NOTHING to suggest that he's ever held romantic feelings for Sakura.

By that standard, Naruto deserves Sakura and Sakura deserves Sasuke (if she's still in love with him).

On a personal note, I don't feel that Hinata deserves Naruto at all. She's talked with him all of 8 times in the entire manga, and five of those times the conversation was around 2 sentences.

She KNEW he was in pain because he was alone, and yet, she never bothered to reach out a hand to him and let him know he wasn't alone. Instead, she used his pain as a motivator to improve herself.

It was Team 7 that rescued Naruto from the pain of loneliness, not Hinata. The fact that she acknowledged him first looses its significance simply for the fact that Naruto was never aware of it - it never benefitted him in anyway.

There is absolutely no questioning Naruto is in love with Sakura that has been made perfectly clear for the entire series nobody in there right mind can deny that. Now Sakura's feeling are a little bit harder to distinguish because we have never actually had clear confirmation but there still is WAY more confirmation then any other couple.(Heaven and Earth bridge scene for example). Yea I always hear the Jiraiya-Tsunade argument used but there upbringing was totally different from Naruto-Sakura's so it's not a very valid argument imo. Jiraiya and Tsunade weren't around each other really at all for most of there later years other then fighting together in the 3rd Ninja War so they didn't really have a chance. I guess it depends on your interpretation but I personally felt from certain parts in the Jiraiya Chronicles and the last little while before and after Jiraiya died that you could clearly see Jiraiya and Tsunade loved each other(NOT BROTHER-SISTER LOVE ), so in that sense it only helps NaruSaku argument.

I believe that the failures Jiraiya listed before he died were meant for Naruto to achieve - this is supported by the theme of the new generation surpassing the previous.

Naruto was able to save his teacher(s) (Kakashi and Fugasaku), save his student (by teaching Konohamaru the Rasengan), will almost undoubtedly save his friend (Sasuke), and will get the girl he has loved for years (Sakura).

That's cool! Feel free to like and support what you want.

The only thing against SasuNaru is that Sasuke hasn't really shown much interest in him specifically since part 2 started, though he's definitely always respected Naruto and regarded him higher than Sakura.

Their relationship in part 1 of the series was unbelievably deep and touching, but in part 2 Sasuke hasn't really shown much reciprocation to Naruto. I still believe that Naruto will be able to save him by the end of the manga, though, so we'll see how that ends up.

Still, I doubt that Kishi is going to make his main pairing a shounen-ai one, at least not blatantly.

dude i totally agree, when she got excited that he might say, you gotta give me a chance and be my wife or something, that shows she had linering feelings but they were never acted upon.
ad for my reference, i beleive that until jariaya separated from tsunade all those years, their relatonship was like narusaku.
jariaya would chase tsunade, and tsunade like orchimaru.
but i think they could have made it,if jaraiya was more like naruto in the sense of tryin harder, not being pervy. i think thats what tsunade liked about him

There's no reason to be so condescending. First of all, not everyone knows that much about Japanese culture, so we kinda need to go off of western culture. I was wrong that her hugging him was just that she was happy probably, so get off my back. Secondly, giving up on being a ninja may be an extreme, but don't you think she'd be a little upset if Naruto just blew her off after she said she loves him?
