Minato knows a Jutsu called Eight Trigrams Sealing Style.
For those who dont know Minato used this to help Naruto access Kyuubis Chakra which gets weaker over time.

Now this is what bothers me.

Eight Trigrams is what we Usually ONLY know from the Hyuga Clan or am I wrong?
Eight Trigrams 64 Palms.
Eight Trigrams Heavenly Spin.
Etc.

So Basically Eight Trigrams something we only saw from the Hyugas.

It makes me think...did Minato might have had help from a Hyuga to be able to use it?
Also he is the only person we ever saw to know this Jutsu.

None of your theories have been proven true. Kishimoto doesn't have time to throw hints and clues out. What you see is what you get. There is nothing to read in between the lines, he doesn't have time to link things together. Or throw out random clues that would foreshadow the upcoming events. He's just a man, and I doubt he spends enough time to think up these ideas.

well he was the hokage so maybe he did fraternize with the hyugas
then again it could just be a coincidence and that the 8 has nothin to do with it

I believe anyone can do whatever jutsu the Hyugas do, they can only see chakra and 360 around themselves, they just train themselves to have very good chakra control.

I think it's more with how the japanese language is and how Kish was inspired by asian culture and used their terms.

Hakke (at least the kanji) means 8 divinations, or 8 predictions. It is a very central theme in attaining balance. Search for fengshui if you're interested to learn more about it.

In chinese it's called Ba Gua and can be summarized as follows:


Asians use BaGua to ward of evil spirits. This would have inspired him to use the name in the sealing technique.

However BaGua is also a very central theme in shaolin kung fu, which has many similarities with the gentle fist fighting style the Huygas employ. So he might have also used it there by coincidence.

Note that BaGua is a very central theme in many different kind of martial arts, and it's very widespread.

Of course, it could be that Kishmoto did plan some connections between Minato and the Huygas, but I hightly doubt it. What irks me more is how Minato is unique in Konoha, and there is no one with abilities close to his. What is his bloodline really?

i always looked at as a jutsu that released a set of other seals thus doing a seal that would require 5 people to do he could do it by himself.

Well I always believed that everyone could learn who to use gentle fist technique, without having a byakugan, byakugan only makes it easy to use...I can be wrong, but basically gentle fist technique is concentrate chakra in the hands creating a kind of a blade...

I think he's senju, Madara hinted at it. And most hokage's are. And his power don't mean crap about his clan. He probably made a lot of jutsus, he made rasengan.Btw, it would help to have a hyuga there because they can see the flow of the chakra and help him with the sealing.
