Once speed has started to become Mach its hypersonic.
Aizen is Mach 3 and is HS.

From feats, dragon ball characters were easily low hypersonic at the time, including Goku. Before Goku was trained by Korin, Tao STOMPED him. There's no way somebody simply faster than the eye can see would beat Goku that easily.

EDIT: Also, from what we've seen of Tao throwing a pillar and riding it, it would likely be around Mach 10. He would HAVE to be faster than the pillar to jump and ride on it, and from calcs by people more knowledgeable than me, they'd say that it's around 14. I said 7 or 8 before, but that's the bare minimum.
