Ok this is an interview from Kishimoto and he reveals as always not much.
This was at some public interview involving a crowd and his words are often not fully given.

If he actually shows Shikamaru being active in that child's life he must do a time-skip again or else it'll be like 10 more years reading this....

As for Yamato, how is he boring?? he's one of the coolest characters! besides the anime staff spends money doing stupid fillers and getting voice actors for those characters that don't even contribute to the story...

But thanks for posting! and I don't actually buy SJ so I wouldn't know if it's real or not...

Yamato is a very cool character,but they need to do something with him though.

Its not an SJ interview. It was some small convention in Okinawa. Its real, but not important to the story at all. Kishi isnt gonna let anything slip at such a minor event.

The only bummer is him confirming that Naruto is coming to an end soon.

yeah, but, it has to end sometime, I am not looking forward to it though......

I really hope, Naruto at least goes on, for a few more years.....

and Yamato, is not boring, he is cool, he has Mokuton, and his "scary look",
and nice interview.

(Laughs) Well, though this is said every year right now is the best part of the story which I want to bring forth.Do stay tune till the end". When Asuma's and Kurenai's child will be born, will Shikamaru play an active role in bringing him/her up? He's thinking of making their child a she but he's not sure.Appearantly he's not even sure there would be a kid. About Yamato. Kishimoto liked (yes given as liked) him but the anime staff asked him: "THis character looks boring, but is he gonna be important to the story?" (Because if its an important character they'd hire a good person to do his voice) He just left then thanking the crowd for supporting Naruto all these years.
