Why did he have to die

. Naruto could have just used a shadow clone to blow up the place instead of Menma. He would still be alive, it's completely illogical for him to die like that. I was crying from anger and sadness

Yes, he was way cool... but as he was as cool as he was... and it was only a filler, did he need to die... if not, would he have needed to get part if the later story.

It would have been cool if he took a part in the story. But mainly he could have just lived and Naruto and the others just come to visit him once in a while

I loved Menma...I'm actually kind of tempted to learn ocarina after watching that filler. That song was beautiful.
