Post farmers show up here anyway. Who cares? Its as simple as not looking at their posts. Wow, so hard.

So the intelligent people typing out the long, difficult posts, shall get punished so that they can deter a couple kids from adding a number? Who cares. If someone wants to come in to raise their post count, and make one-word replies to the topic, that's on them. At least its on topic. They already do the same thing in every other forum.

At least THEN we'd have some activity in here again, instead of 1-2 topics a day, IF that.

It's a quality over quantity issue.

100 new threads debating whether or not sakura is hotter than ino would show up here and all good debates would be buried. It wold be hard to find good conversations as this would become the "go to" area of the forums.

As I said, I'll go wither way, but see it as destroying the intelligent part of the forums.

People know what this forum is for. They also know that the majority of the users in this particular forum will jump down your throat and bite quicker than anywhere else. Quality over quantity is good, but not when we're never getting new topics. There's been 3 new topics in the past 3 days...

Bottom line is, people sometimes register a post count with being a forum veteran. They see Sunagakure and her 56 posts, and dont respect her because she is a newb in their eyes. But we all know that she's made 100's of valid posts on these forums. Not fair to her.

So far just shkin and itachi disagree with this, but every single other person wants them to count. Seems unfair to me. ^_^

and why does it have to be about the post count? if some people do not respect or ignores people who have lower post count then its their problem! those people are just shallow. and i don't think it really bothers Sunagakure that much...and if its bothering her then maybe she should post more on threads where posts are being counted.

i still think that a good rep up is enough reward for the debaters here...people should give rep more here and leave the post counts to other threads...thereby saving it from quality deterioration.

You dont know that though. I dont see why we can't try. Not everyone wants to discuss Naruto the entire time they are at the forums. Sure occasionally its great, but every time you come on the forum? I mean come on.

I think this forum should be open to everyone of all ages. Right now the kids are even scared to come here because this is the most adult forum on this website. A couple kids debates will be fine, who cares? The adults can still have their debates and we can just quote eachother. Simple?

You guys are basically doing nothing but stereotyping everyone that posts in other forums, branding them postwhores on the mark. Thats wrong. People stick to the forums topic usually. Make-Out paradise sticks to romance, Battlegrounds sticks to fights, so how hard is it for people to understand that debates stick to debates? Let it be.

I just dont like the message this is sending. Not counting posts here makes this seem worthless.

And Sage, Rice. I recall my original argument with you when I first petitioned for this forum, was posts in off-topic not counting, even the good debates. You said to me "Prove that people can debate in that forum and we'll consider making a debate forum".

Ok, that was done. You made it. And you put itachi in charge of it for god knows whatever reason, but hey, thats you. =p

Yet you put it back in the same spot it was in off-topic. One of the main reasons we wanted to escape off-topic, and you just basically made this an Off-Topic#2.

Obviously I dont care about post counts. Ive been here since April and have been more active on contests and RPG-Creations and all that good stuff, then most anyone here. And I still have yet to break 4000 posts. Ive had maybe 200 posts this month total. So dont say i care about my count, cause I dont. But other people new to the forums do.

Remember, it takes 50 posts before you can even use rep, it takes a number before you can PM or whatever, and we got people who come to just this forum and rarely visit the counted forums. It took Suna a month before she could give her first rep point...So they're punished and cant use the rep system because, why? You're worried about some spam? There is going to be spam everywhere, try it out. If its a disaster, kill the posts. Oh well, right?

Historically whenever we disabled an area, there was lots of screaming and whining and a few people left. So "oh well" may not cover it, but I can agree with the rest of your message.
