Understandable, I just find the only real problems to be when people start posting porn, violent images, flaming, trolling and stuff. Though, I don't particularly care about the flaming and trolling much in the BGs.

I would ask you don't. The interplay is educational to those reading later, which is a large part of what anbu is and does, educate. Deleting your posts will make it more difficult for others to follow the conversation.

@maik: While imaginary points may mean little to you, they mean something to others and it is important to have some integrity in the systems.

After donating over 2000 hours of my life to the forum, and setting up most of the features here I am allowed some leeway in things that doesn't hurt others.

This conversation will serve to inform others of my role here, and that people can come to me for things, and your saying you believe me, proves to others reading that I am able to do these things as they can presume I did what I said I would.

I do understand your role on this forum but I have heard you say that all Fail members, mods, and admins are just like any other member and should not be treated "special". I'm just saying, just because you can do something, doesn't mean you have to use that whenever you have to prove a point, like other members, they have support or as some may call it, evidence. Basically to prove others wrong without the need to use powers, let them know they are wrong by getting lets say, to their level in authority.

I do understand you're not hurting anyone, I was just trying to prove an opinion I had.

I won't delete my posts then.

Nah, I understand some integrity part. Like saying "hi" is obviously just wanting to post. But, as long as people are partially on topic in whatever thread they're in, I usually just let them be.

Context is relevant.

First I posted and admittedly unclear comment about how I was not mentioned as a quasi.

Second you posted calling my post spam.

Third I clarified that it was not spam and explained why, followed by a mention that it would be pointless to view my posts as a post farming effort, as it would be nonsensical for me to post farm, as I can change the post number myself, then proved it. This was all based on the post farming/spamming charge, which I was making an effort to explain to your satisfaction.

It was after this that the conversation fell to abuse of power. Which fell into a debate on what IS power abuse, which prompted my explanation of why some of us are (based off of service to the member and their track record) allowed leeway.

I think the conversation was worth having and worth others reading as it provides some insight.

That is actually why I am writing all this out. I would not go into so much detail over a simple accusation of spamming, it would be silly.

Also to be very clear, I am not offended in any way by questioning.

Nah, you are completely coherent, which puts you above many others.

And the key misunderstanding is that when I post, I generally am posting as much to those who read my posts later as I am to the person I am addressing. Also I assumed since quasi was mentioned in two earlier posts it was either explained earlier or was general knowledge.

And with that, we can all go back to helping people.

I would just like to ask for you to be...more...specific with posts, so this doesn't occur again. Some people might know what you're talking about, but not all. It's never good to assume, unless you are sure of it

Can someone please answer this question please, I was in the forums and came across a member who took the anbu insignia and put it in their siggy...o_O , it's more than obvious from the siggy they want to be in Anbu, but to copy and paste the insignia? Should this go in the Viz area? Sorry I wasn't sure what to think when I saw it other than , this is wrong..Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Yes, but he's not an ANBU leader.

Plus he didn't get permission, even if it does say "wanna be".

I'll let people have ANBU badges in their signatures since it does no harm and doesn't represent a person with power. The rest of the badges are off limits as it then becomes them pretending to be a person with power.
