It would be marvelous to find out that Zetsu just comically appeared infront of the Kages to add to their chaotic distress in the sake of absurdity, haha.

As flippant as that statement might seem, I do believe that this was Zetsu's only job. Madara might just want to pick at Saskue's nerves. As neat as it would be to see Zetsu perform some action, I think for now he is merely a messenger.

Zetsu fan here.

His techniques definitely look like something that should come out of a Satoshi Kon movie. That, and he's just pure Boss. The past few chapters have really been great on his behalf.
