I dont see the ending of the mayan calendar at 2012 just cause to say the world will end then.

The world will not end because of negativity and self fulfilling prophecy (we think so much it'll happen that we cause it to happen). If that were the case, it would've happened at the stroke of midnight in 2000. Remember the Y2k fiasco?

If the world ends, it will be because mankind will tear itself apart with war, religious and idealogical differences, disease, etc. Or maybe some catastrophic, freak occurrence in nature. Or maybe the bible was right the whole damn time, and it'll end that way when God says its to happen. We dont know when it will happen or why, but i can promise you its not for the reasons you listed.

if the best happens, and mankind can survive for millions of years to come, then the sun will eventually explode as all nova and supernova do, and THEN we die.

NOthing is going 2 happen in 2012, nothing prophized anywayz. Yes, the sun is going to explode we have a bout a couple billion years to find away around that, and in about 200 years were gonna get hit by meteor, I hope we find away around that. But nothing is gonna happen in 2012!
