K, so this is the finished product of 'Cardboard Box' and I gotta say I'm actually really happy with it.

I just did it with one part of Twinkle Twinkle little star. xD Probably because when I'm just messing around, it's usually very simple stuff. And msot songs that I know aren't quite that simple. In my opinion, the idea of any instrument is very simple, it's just when you get a little deeper that they vary to one extreme or another. Music theory should really help. My lead guitarists songs that he wrote were kind of bad, but he studied music theory for just a couple months and the stuff he writes now is amazing. Don't know how he does it. But at least he's in my band. xD

Wow. I actually really like it. And I like how you used the carboard box as a symbol of security. Mine goes like:

Yea I've tried teaching myself a little with this awesome book called "All About Piano" by Mark Harrison and put out by Hal Leonard and it's pretty good. they have them for Guitar, Bass and Drums too.

Haha thanks. Cardboard Box is kinda of like your outside and how you're the you you really are inside it no matter what, and the inside is great even if the outside sucks. Then the bridge was all about being yourself no matter what, because if you aren't it's just empty.

I had a class for guitar when I was much younger. It helped a tiny bit, I've basically taught myself how to play guitar. I'm only half decent at it, though. :/ Like with most things. All I can really do is practice, though. And you should will too. P:

I like the concept and how you kind of expanded on the idea. It wouldn't have gone so well for me. I think that a good exercise would be to get a few random shallow concepts and just practice expanding on them, I should probably do that.

I honestly don't really think about the writing. In my opinion that would just make it harder for you. For me, if I sit down and try to write a song it usually comes out bad or doesn't even come at all.

Like, some of my songs just come to me randomly at school or whatever. I remember the third or fourth one I ever wrote was during a math test. Needless to say I couldn't rip out a piece of paper right then so I wrote the first verse on my hand and wrote more at lunch. I really think it's just easier and better when you don't over think it. Like, just start with an emotion or an idea or something you wanna go off of for the song's theme, imagine what the music for that type of song is like and then it should be fine from there.

First, the important part: How did you do on the math test?!

I can play guitar and violin and few others. :P With almost no formal teachings. So, needless to day, I kind of suck at both of them. xD I have a keyboard lying around here too, but I don'treally play it. I believe that practice makes better. Perfect is too perfect to expect to reach. >.> ANd it's way too far away. I like how you type everything out and then get to three small words and decide to use an acronym. xD

Anything I have written has just come from messing around. I haven't really written much, though. But usually I won't have anything planned out. ANd I think it'd be harder to write lyrics and then music, though. You'd probably subconciously, or otherwise, want to match the music with the lyrics somehow.

Its the thought that counts. P:

Dang. Bass is like second nature to guitar, so if you learn guitar, then bass will be extremely easy. But, that's a lot if money in instruments if you want decent ones. Also would take a long time to learn. Unless you're just going to learn the basics.

That's a very helpful gift. Sometimes It seems like I don't think as much as most people, as if they spend their entire days with thoughts going through their heads, still while doing everything else. I guess I kind of have a one track mind. Wow, re-reading that makes me sound extremely stupid. I don't have any complete songs, especially in lyrics.

Yea, my friend Kelsey plays and said that it was really easy to play with learning tabs and all. Hopefully money won't be too much of an object if I can get a decent job xD Piano, flute and singing will hopefully get me into a good music college and from there a job.

Yea, I feel like I think too much, honestly. All day everyday is just thinking about so much, and only when I fall asleep do I get a break from it, unless my dreams are taken up by thoughts xD

Yeah, the basics are super easy. Especially with tabs, and tabs are pretty simple. But it's the technical stuff that starts making it hard, the really fast stuff, too. I play a lit of metal though, and I doubt that you plan on doing that. xD hopefully, it's a little hard thee days to gt a decent job, especially in music. Being an engineer or nurse is where the money lies for these next fifty years.

I wish I could think all the time. xD Sometimes Ido, but only about stuff I don't want to.
