Persona 4: The Golden!

Hey guys! Haven't said anything in a few weeks. Mostly due to catching up with anime and stuff, and of course, LOTS AND LOTS OF THIS AMAZING GAMEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

So okay, I've had Persona 4 Golden since maybe late December. Played the crap out of it until I got to Kanji's boss and just totally failed. Last week I picked it back up and beat him, and ZOMG this game is my favorite RPG of all time! I feel like this game was crafted specifically for me, it's great!

Unfortunately, I'm nearly done with the main arc; solving the murder case :/ There's like a butt ton of other things to do, though, but I'mm still kinda upset about already being done... Although I do have just over 30 hours invested in it.

Anyway, I posted this to see if anyone here has played this, the original Persona 4, or any of the other Shin Megami Tensei games! I'm so into it that I totally regret not buying any of the games in the series earlier.

Played P4 vanilla and enjoyed it a lot.on Naoto's dungeon.

Persona 2
Persona 3
Persona 3 FES
Persona 3 Portable
Persona 4
Persona 4 Golden
Persona 4 Arena
I thoroughly enjoyed playing each and every one of them. My favorite of all time was Persona 3 FES. All of theem have a well thought out story to them that just pulls you in. I have completed them all 100 percent through including all extra bosses. I still usually play through 3 or 4 once a year for the storyline.

ZOMG You're like the truest Persona fan ever. I have one question. After the actual end on P4G, what happens? Do you get like a "New Game+" to do?

Yeah after you beat it you can start new game plus. You lose your levels. But you keep all of the persona's in your compendium to use after you unlock the compendium in the next playthrough. You also keep your money you have saved. Then you can see a different ending the next playthrough. I wonder If you are getting the true ending the bad ending the so-so ending. Or the golden ending? Lol don't look those up and ruin them for youself. I was just going to give an idea of the num of ending of golden.

That sounds really cool. And I dunno! I spend most of my time with Yosuke, Kou, and Yuki, so I'm not really sure, either. I usually get good reactions from my text responses too. And question: If I get P3P for PSP, would I enjoy it? Or is it a step backwards from this one?

Oh P3P is just as good. Its an amazing game I like 3 better then 4. Only because Akihiko is my favorite character. But you will definitely enjoy it. Yeah the social links are hard to max out all of them in a single playthrough.

Really? Cool. I like Yosuke the best, but then again, this is the only one I've played. And haha, I just always forget about Chie and I can NEVER find Kanji anywhere! Still don't have enough persuasion to tell Nanako why people die either xD But you're right with what you said before, they just totally draw you in!

And yeah, people and reviewers raved about P3P, and now that the price is lower, I think I'll pick it up soon. Actually, I'll probably just delete a game from my Vita memory stick and download it; I'd rather have it on there.

Random sidenote, do you have the Solid Gold Edition?

No sadly I don't have Solid gold edition. I just downloaded it. Kanji is either in front of his house ofr the Sewing club. Yeah you got to get all of your Courage, Diligence, knowledge, Understanding, and expression maxed within the first couple of playthroughs and you can stomp through the social links. I always like meeting fellow fans of the series I was first introduced to it through Persona 4.

Same here, just a few months ago, really. I downloaded P3P on my Vita yesterday, somehow the download is even cheaper than used copies? And cheaper than Persona 2? Lol, anyway, going to start that one this weekend. I figured the NDF was a great place to ask! So of course I was going to ask this as well; favorite P4G Character?

Yeah, its pretty much my favorite RPG. Akihiko is also my favorite character, but Naoto is a close second.

Yosuke for sure! He totally bleeds awesomeness. It's killing me that my social link with him is sooo close to MAX. It's at 9 with the "you feel your relationship is about to come closer soon" status! As soon as I finish off Mitsuo, that's my immediate goal! Then I wanna build it up with Kanji and Chie because they're so low.... Kou is maxed and Yukiko is at 9 as well.
