I think he means like a bar at the top which shows the topic, whoes viewing it and weather they post.

You can subscribe to thread and be notified when they are posted in, but I don't really want to know that itachifan1000 is looking at 'Zabuza vs Kisame'. I'm not really bothered, to tell you the truth.
