Loras Tyrell vs. Jaime Lannister

They are both considered high class knights and horsemen.
Both arrogant.
Jaime acts because he loves; Loras because of his ambitions.

Loras was able to defeat Gregor Clegane, a 420 Ibs man known as the mountain.
Conquered Dragonstone which was under siege for a long time.

He's basically a legend even though he's a kid.

Jaime was knighted by Arhur Dayne at the age of fifteen. He was a member of the Kingswood brotherhood. He was the main guard of the king, he is currently the commander of the Kingsguard.
Known as the Kingslayer.
Has big balls and would do anything to win.

Location: Fist of the First Men (I don't know why)
Knowledge: Only what they've heard in the stories about each other
Prep: None
Starting Distance: 10 m
Jaime has his hand, of course.

You should add a poll to this

Personally I am uncertain, but from what I've heard Jaime Lannister was the best swordsman in all the Seven Kingdoms, so I vote for him. But I have not seen Loras in action except when he was defeated by Brienne, so I may not think of him as a superb warrior simply because of that. But I have to respect someone who defeats Gregor Clegane (I hate that "mountain").

Brienne got him, yeah.
She got Jaime, too, but Jaime was sick, tired and starving, so I'd say Jaime nails him.

When Jaime returned to King's Landing he told Loras to put away his sword unless he wants it in a hole even Renly couldn't find.

I don't see why it can't be said

Loras gives him a good fight, Jamie is going to win but I wouldn't exactly put many swordsmen over the incestuous lion Loras is one of the few I could see going at him and losing but with a hard won fight.

this is assuming Jaime still has his hand

Hands down, I think Jaime Lannister is way better than Loras, mainly because I just don't like Highgarden. Still they both have some major character drawbacks. There's the incest, throwing kids out of buildings, being really hoity-toity, etc.

1vs1 I choose Jaime, he's had the best teacher and experiance and that lannister swagger, the good kind btw.. well maybe not good. Now loras taking dragon stone is very impressive but that was a battle situation not 1vs1. Now a jousting match goes to loras of course.
