why didn't Kabuto just summon Madara from the get-go?

He would have easily destroyed a unit in minutes. And the edos could reverse summon him to every battlefield in secs

I believe that Kabuto only wanted to use Edo Madara as a last resort trump card against the alliance and wanted to see how the beginning of the war would be going. Since by the time Madara was summoned and Kabuto's Edos were sealed, I think he had to summon him.
But yea I think Madara could've gone shadow cloned susanoo in every battlefield if Kabuto thought of it

Because a trump card isn't something you used from the get go, it's a final resort, and that supported by the fact that he didn't decide to summon him until after Nagato was defeated.

but if he did it ealier than the wohle alliance would be at its needs

but I guess Kabuto was not really after destroying the alliance

Because he's full of himself. He gave Madara emotions....and ruined himself. If I were him I'd first use Madara to crush Obito and then the alliance. (No emotions Madara, of course)

Well besides it being a trump card he was hiding it from Obito if I remember right. I think he wasn't wanting to show it to him, but then again I think he did show Obito, Madara's coffin at one point in the story.

Showing the coffin to him isn't much of a hiding.

I would say he was saving ET madara incase Obito tried to move against him.

Also, this was Obito's war, why should Kabuto go straight to using Madara?

I don't think Kabuto wanted to bring out Edo-Madara. WHy would Kabuto want Madobito's plan to succeed? I think he was just prompting Obito to keep acting and moving things forward because for a while their goals overlapped.
