Aokiji is in a completely different league than Smoker though. He's one of the people that went toe-to-toe against a Yonkou himself, plus a ton of other high-level pirates.

Joker is probably going to back down and not even try to fight. Maybe.

I don't know Donflamingo is borderline a yonkou judging from the way the story describes him. Pretty sure he will try to fight.

He's described as strong, but he's far more than just fearful of getting on a Yonkou's bad side if he's flying all the way to Punk Hazard instead of sending more goonies. Or at least, that's one way to look at it.

He's just a Shichibukai and they need like double them as they have the Yonkou. He's more of a crime boss that hides behind his entrepreneurial power, rather than his actual strength. That doesn't mean he's weak, but I still don't think he can take on Aokiji. And if he gets ballsy enough to try, he'll whimper away.

Doflamingo's devil fruit is seemingly equivalent to that of a puppeteer, but as you know if you watch horror, piana strings can sever throats and ropes cast at a high enough velocity or pulled tight enough to cut limbs clean off.

Maik likes to think Joker is just really adept at Rokushiki though.

That's another way of putting it, a pretty good way. Since he used conquering king, I assumed he was using some sort of projection haki. Problem is, strings don't really explain how they can expand over the ocean and let him seemingly fly. Nor does haki,but..

Puppets float on their strings, so he's basically using his ability on himself. Kind of like Shiki, in a sense. But that can really be attributed to Geppo. And Haki is a non-factor, really. That can be done regardless of devil fruit.

Well, the only thing that really suggests that Doflamingo has a devil fruit is the way he uses his strings. It's also possible that he uses actual strings perhaps. I'm not going to pass this off as a devil fruit unless it gets confirmed.
