well there's no brain for the personality. the kyuubi wasn't raw chakra after what was sealed in Naruto, it was still a fox, just smaller.

You either have to believe

1. the personality permeates all the chakra, like an essence, and divides with the chakra like a clone.
or
2. you believe that Minato didn't pass the chakra along leaving all the rest, but that he passed chakra and the personality or essence and left chakra shaped like the kyubbi, but with an empty/vegetable personality. Did it roar after, if it did it must be mad and therefore has emotions and therefor a personality that was still pissed.

I will trust this logic until Kishi thwarts it with his craziness.
