And regardless. You are suggesting that a kid who never knew his parents would never be curious enough to visit the shrine of his mothers people? His blood relatives and ancestors, culteral and perhaps historical knowledge to be found. who knows might might be there....seriously?

Naruto himself didn't know of his parents until leaf was destroyed by Pein. Even if they taught students about the Uzumaki & the Hidden Eddies Naruto was too much of an Idiot to do any deep searching, which i'm sure he would have been stopped if he had anyway. And as seen in certain times, the outskirts of the village isn't exactly the #1 tourist destination as the area itself is slightly rundown. To be honest I think the Uzumaki clan is mostly forgotten anyways since it is very rarely mentioned.
