Ok, first of all.

The God of Shinobi, The Sage Of The Six Paths is said to be the father of Ninjutsu.

But why is his name "The Sage Of The Six Paths?

Take a gander.

The Sage was part of an unknown clan, however what if this clan was related to several other known clans?

Senju, Uchiha, Uzumaki, Hyuga, Namikaze

And because he was part of his own clan.

Senju, Uchiha, Uzumaki, Hyuga, Namikaze, Sage's Unknown Clan

That makes Six!

Maybe this is why he's called The Sage Of The Six Paths?

Remember, this is a wild gander theory, very very very very very very very very unlikely. But also somewhat likely at the same time.

it actually is an interesting theory... i like it!... but for this theory to work, all these 6 clans need to have come out of the sage... if the sage is one of the 6 only, the 5 clans are not included in him thus he couldn't be the sage of all 6... am i making sense? maybe sarutobi clan? they all have fire style as though they were close to uchiha? And sarutobi hiruzen didn't want to destroy the uchiha... ??? anyway,,, it just got me thinking...

Wouldn't your theory make more sense if it was like:
Sage of Six Paths
then
6 clan offspring's including: Senju, Uchiha, Uzumaki, Hyuga, Namikaze, and the mystery clan?

The thought of this happening is quite good, but you need to associate it with facts and plausible reasoning ergo* this 'theory' (actually a hypothesis since it hasn't been proven yet) isn't completed.

* - ergo is Latin for therefore
Since the idea is good, I might promote this thread to several good debaters of the TB.
