Today I was walking in the hallway at my school. Two boys and a girl were walking in front of me, walking together. I'd seen these kids before, but I never really thought badly of any of them. They were kind of just there. I saw one every day on the way to my math class. He never gave me any trouble or anything, so I didn't think too much of him, naturally.

Anyway, there was also a girl I had seen who was the same age as both of the boys and the other girl, who was walking alone. This wasn't really something unusual to me either, I even walked alone to class sometimes. I had seen this girl, and she was disabled. (You could clearly see it in her eyes and face, although I'd never spoken to her before.) She wore her favorite black hat every day, it was one of those artist hats. Looked like it was hand knitted and if I had to guess, either she did it or someone in her family made it for her. It looked nice.

Anyhow, the the three little kids (a year younger than I am, if you want to know. I considered them little) went behind the disabled girl. As I watched my path in the hallway, I saw the kids pull off the girl's hat and throw it on the ground. Then they yelled a bunch of racial slurs at the girl and called her a retard, told her to go home. (She was black.)

I don't know what it was that made me snap, because I've seen worse things than that. I used to get into a lot of fights with older kids in elementary school and I remember how defeated I felt when I lost to them and they called me names and things.

For some reason scenes of my past flashed like lights in my head, almost as clearly as they happened. I snapped and ran after the kids (they were running away now), and I grabbed one by his hood and I punched him. He cried and apologized to the little girl. The girl thanked me.

What jumped out to me about that event was that I could make a difference.

Well you made a likeable good choice Hun, I'd probably do the same thing.
It is quite rude and hateful to anyone who's disabled, usually the people I see don't even do anything mean and they're usually sweet too but when it comes to losers who just attack and call names like that and they're younger than me, I find the mature act and tell them to stop and apologize ... Even if I physically have to make them apologize.

But you did a good choice and I believe your deed was amazing.

A similar situation occured with me except it was just some spoiled brat actin gangsta. He started bullying some girl who at most was like 10-12. I was walking home with a friend of mine and he kicked her dog and then started verbally abusing her saying he'd do the same to her.

Time for my serious post. That is tremendously admirable, Shikamaru Nara. Honestly. I would have done the same thing, possibly worse. That was mad .

I'm sure that isn't the first time that's happened to her. But most likely after today she'll remember you and if she ever begins to feel like there's no good ones out there-- she'll remember what happened today. As for me, I'm glad there's people out there like you also. I tip my motherf#$%ng hat to you.

but seriously. I befriended one of the disabled kids I knew. He's a twin, and I believe identical even. They look identical except that the one I talk to more has a lazy eye. And he barely has control over his left arm. He also talks with a bit of a slur, but he's a funny guy. The other twin (not disabled) is quite reminiscent of Maik in ways . You both have a serious face, yet one that will somehow make ou laugh.

The twin I talk to has gym class with me. I'm too small to hit anyone at my school, but I still talk to him. No one would dare make fun of anyone at my school... But there is this one kid who is so awkward... but no one knows if he is disabled or just... weird.

He walked up to girls in our class saying he wanted to be a dentist. So he asked them to open their mouths and pretended to be a dentist with a pencil... And when the teacher was done with class the kid gave us all a lecture on oral hygiene.

We don't really have bullies here, so I never had the chance to do anything like that. I think that would have made even me snap though, even being as quiet as I am.
