Who is Yamato?

Ive been using a website with simple programming to generate a random number between 1 and 296 so I could just randomly watch shippuden episodes on my free time (great idea btw if youre bored and have a lot of free time, i enjoy it lots). Number 35 was generated so i popped it open and it was the episode the Tsundae selects a "gifted member of ANBU" to be kakashis replacement while he is in the hospital recovering. His code name for the mission will be "Yamato". This is how we are introduced to him (Sai also is introduced in to this episode, but irrelevent to me). Kakashi also seems to recognize "Yamato". Any speculation as to what importance he might have near the end of all of this? I know he is Orochimaru's creation and he can suppress naruto's nine tails chakara.. but I have a feeling he will have even more importance near the very end of the war.. any speculation as to what this could be? Have there been previous conversations on this?

Yamato is awesome.
Out of 60 infants only he survived oro's experimenting. Oro injected Hashirama's DNA into them.

And so now, Yamato knows Mokuton, wood style.
He is an ANBU, just like Kakashi. And still is. But is just a substitute Captain for when Kakashi is absent.
His ANBU name is Tenzou. Real name unknown.
He likes walnuts and books on architecture.

Leo
178 cm
Ninja registration number: 010992

Since Yamato knows Mokuton, he is placed in team Kakashi so that he can suppress the mine tails chakra when naruto loses it.

He goes on missions with the team in the future as well. And he is a specialist in tracking. He uses seeds to track people and he is very versatile in the wood style. But he admits that he isn't as great at using it unlike Hashirama.
Yamato is usually supervising naruto.

He's of little importance. He only comes in handy during some Naruto training and is from then on just a mediocre character. He's nothing major other than the fact that he's shown a lot because of how he's linked to Naruto's team and his affection towards Kakashi.

Yamato is Vergil's sword in Devil May Cry 3 and DmC, it is a Katana that is also the key to locking and unlocking the gate to hell.

After they were sent into the past, Young Kakashi found Yamato unconscious by the gate
And near the end when Young Kakashi said that he found this guy(Yamato) lazing at the gate and was being unproductive, Yamato punched him in the head. And Young Kakashi was wondering why he did that. Yamato responded, "It's for revenge because the future you would always bully me."
Too bad their memory was erased.

Yea. It's been at least 100 chapters w/o him...
Was talking to my dad about it. But he agreed that he will be alright and will be rescued!!!
