Because he is controlling the Juubi differently than when he was controlling the Kyuubi. The Kyuubi was put under a genjutsu, as seen when it's eyes became a sharingan. The Juubi is being controlled differently, or at least it has to be. I don't think one could put the Juubi in a genjutsu (and if so would the Juubi's eyes stay the same or change into a sharingan), and also they had to tighten control by adding hashirama's cells to the controlling jutsu. So it must be something similar to how Hashirama could control tailed beasts without a sharingan

Yesum xD So, perhaps Hashirama's technique that can control many bijuu (used by 2 people), is enough to control the Juubi
