This kinda bothers me. By you saying that God having sacrificed his son, he is to control his temper and not get so upset when people sin. Giving God this sort of temperament only anthropomorphizes him.

But if you look, God commanded slave owners to treat their slaves well and like family.

So beating a slave is how one treats their family?
