Shino vs Konan

it is not IC for Konan to spam bugs anyway
Plus using paperbombs in a cave is not the best idea when everything can come crumbling down

when shino's bugs were leached onto Tobi the bugs instantly starting draining chakra

Not fast enough as tobi was still being drained for 1-2 secs before he phased and he seemed fine.

So konan can throw a papaer bombs towards shino casuing the ceiling to crush him

A cave with no other life in it except for shino and bugs. And the zooming noice of bugs make. Really doesnt sound like they are hard to find at all. Besides if a mass of chakra draining bugs would approach me i would throw any bobms available at them.

Shino drained Kankuro in less then minutes. Konans paper bombs are definitely not infused with even a tenth of Konans chakra seeing as they don't make huge explosions. Its obvious that they would be drained before Konan even sets them off, leaving her open to attack while she prepares her second round of paper bombs.

Also keep in mind that paper bombs don't even do much damage as Sakura tanked one at point blank range and Tobi took easily over 10 before finally using Izanagi. The only time we've seen massive amounts of damage from them was when Tobi got hit by the bundled bombs when he tried to suck konan into his face iirc.

In the anime, Shino's bugs became immune to Gurens Crystals in less then what seemed to be a day. If Shino's bugs can evolve to the point where crystalizations doesin't affect them in the slightest then I don't see it hard to believe that they could do the same to fire. Now explosions I'm not sure

but once she is caught its over. More bugs will pile on and using explosives would hurt herself

The location and the fact that she can't use The Paper God Technique are both huge disadvantages for Konan.

Paper bombs in a cave? Are you serious people? If he goes down she goes down with him. Flying is not gonna help much if those bugs have had time to crawl up on her.

Even if a bunch of bugs do get blasted Shino creates more and more. Konan can't throw as many paper bombs as she likes since the Paper God Technique is excluded.

When it all comes down to it, it's about who can produce the most.

Nice they drained a pts genin/unexperienced kankuro in minutes. How does that compare again to the chakra pool of an S-class criminalwho actually gave tobi some trouble.

Konan can make them explode before the bugs can touch them hence them not being drained.

And konan couldnt use bundled bombs against tobi and set them off before the bugs touch them.

Thats the anime canon feats only unless specified. Besides it took days in the anime. Thats not viable for battle at all.

In the manga they have an sfx so they do make sound.
They are not that far away from each other infact 30 meters means they should atleast be in eachothers eye side. Considreing the cave didnt have branches when itachi fought its just a straight path to shino so finding him wont be hard anyway.

Shino has always used 'swarms' to attack. Never just a few its kinda ooc. And a few bugs still make sound.

Konana is a paper logia i am sure she could transform into those paper butterflies and fly through the debris.

Who says so not the entire cave has to collapse. Since when could he create more bugs other then the anime(non-canon) in which still took days to do.

That argument wasin't to prove he could drain Konan near instantly, it was for the bombs but I wouldin't put it past his capabilities to drain Konan fairly quickly considering Tobi felt the need to get away from the insects when was swarmed by them.

Again, assuming she knows what Shino's bugs are capable of, why would she detonate them when her target is Shino.......who she can't even see clearly due to the cave they are in. Same for the insects.

I wasin't actually using that for this debate since its not an actual Technique/Jutsu. Just wanted to give my input on the idea. Its clearly unusable in a match like this though.

Only Jutsu/Techniques that belong to other Aburame clan members or Shino himself but was only used in the anime. So the feats go with the techniques in question but speed, or reaction feats etc.. don't count.

When you think about it the bugs can do whatever in anime or manga

Shino can send his bugs to make a dome even though it was never shown in the manga. Shino has the ability to do so .

But SHino could not make bugs inside his body since that is something that shino did himself.

Does anyone get what I mean??

It's like Naruto using his clones in a different way in the anime... but he could use those those clones in any battle

Tobi feels the need to phase through anything id call it a habit he even phased through a kunai.

If bugs would come out of a persons body and fly towards there is something wrong. Hence the bugs need to be dealt. with = Splosions. Zaku was smart enough to figure it out.

Using the bundled bombs she did against tobi but only then agianst the bugs and detonating them before the bugs come in 'draining' range.

Paperbombs are not very effective. And i doubt they the bombs would be dangerous in a cave considering how weak the bombs are.

It is pretty much OOC for Konan to spam bombs

Chakram puts shino in danger but Shino is quiet enough to hide in the dark cave plus while she focuses on the chakram that leaves her open for attack

papershuriken are dodgeable or can just hid behind rocks and its hard to find shino

paper clones=bug clones

Her paper dance is the only thing that is troublesome

I still say Shino wins but BMC puts up an argument
