Default Questions about Naruto someone new to the show
Just wondering what everyone thinks of this show? How great or not so great is it?

Also after which episode does this show get any good?

I have bought the first 2 box sets of Naruto so far not Naruto Shippuden and have only seen the first 8 episodes I believe. When does this show get any good. My favorite long running anime show is currently One Piece.

When does Naruto become something really awesome or epic? Or does it never reach that point like One Piece does?

I'm currently watching Naurto right now and started over at episode 1 and near the end of the episode. It's paused near the end of the episode. Thanks

Also which series is better Naruto Naruto Shippuden or the Naruto movies and why? Also is this show worth following to buy all the dvds of or not? Thanks again

Naruto Shippuden can't be watched unless you've actually watched the original Naruto. None of Shippuden will make any sense to someone who hasn't watched the original Naruto. The movies don't count since they are just random plots that don't have anything to do with the main plot of the story. I suppose the original Naruto was alright, Shippuden was good, but like I said, you need to watch up to Episode 135 of the original before you can move to Shippuden. Episode 135 - 220 in the original is anime fillers that you don't need to watch.

I got hooked on Naruto from the very first episode. The original Naruto is more goofy comedy and Shippuden is more action. Like Sajuuk said, It wont make sense to you if you dont watch part 1. The movies are good. I like them. Keep an open mind about the show and dont compare it to anything else. I dont know how worth it, it is to buy it but I just watch it on Hulu. It gets pretty expensive to buy all the seasons, but if you want to go for it :]

Naruto really starts picking up at episode 14(at least for me) and after that it is really an amazing series, but watch the show up to episode 135, the rest are fillers that have no point to the story, so after 135 go straight to shippuden.

but i just love some characters. that's what keeps me watching it still
and cant really compare it with OP. because OP is far greater than naruto will ever be

The show is alright in the beginning after the arc with Gaara getting rescued (shippuden) is when it actually gets really good but watch out for the fillers !
Anyway the arc with Asuma was good, pain arc, and up ahead more is when the real action conserts and becomes very well asserted
Just keep going and you'll love it by the time your updated...

I recommend on reading the manga as well~
