Fire Release vs Lava Release

Which jutsu is the most effective? And which one do you prefer?

Lava has a more solid matter so it's stronger.

Plus in One Piece a fire user was killed by a lava user.

So my vote is lava release

I'm going to go ahead and assume that these are Naruto based functions and not including real life/One Piece (for the guy above) "feats."

In terms of Naruto, I think it's safe to say that fire release is definitely more widely used, and in that regard it is a little bit less useful considering the fact that the more something the used, the more knowledge there is on it, therefore rendering it somewhat useless.

But lava is slower.
I'd go with fire since in my opinion, speed is everything.

That depends. YOu can use it to your adventive and completly sorround your opponent over time with the lave not going any were. Plus if you shot it right at the fire then what happens? Or you can use Lava then cool it down fast with another Jutsu making a temp wall.

Lava is too slow . I pick Lava for battle ready lava armor. Fire is weak and lame

Lava may be slow, but it can "melt" you before it even touches you and I doubt anyone would be able to survive a "lava attack". You can get away with a severe burn by fire (if the opponent happens to have a water chakra nature or if there's a lake nearby or something), but lava will only start solidifying if you pour water into it, hence turning you into stone man (yes, some lava types can start harden instantly or after a few minutes). The caster can also make some kind of defensive stone wall if they have access to a lot of water or simply use the lava armor jutsu (like Roshi from Naruto did). Too it bad lava isn't as fast as fire though.

Lava is more effective when it comes to harming your opponent, there's a greater diversity of lava techniques than fire techniques and it can even be used for defensive purposes.

My vote goes for Lava.

Well, I do not know about melt you before you get to it, but yes it is way stronger and can be used for a lot of things.

If it was Madara Great Fire Anhiliation VS Tei Merumi Lava Style, i would vote for Madara great fire anhiliation because it will cause more damage.

I see it like this way:

Fire = long/mid range
Lava = Mid/short range
So it depends on who you're opponent is

I'm going to have to say lava, considering the fact that lava would be fire and earth release combined. Lava user > fire user because a lava user doesn't just have lava style at his disposal but fire style, lava style, and earth style. Therefor making a lava user a very versatile ninja who can pretty much dominate most ninja who stick to fire style jutsu.

It depends on how its used.

Lava Style: Scorching Rocks Jutsu for example is pretty darn fast and Lava Style Armor would pretty much defend a user from most Fire Techniques if not all.

Lava style wins because its just as versatile yet much more dangerous.
