Depends on how much mass it has. And we are on topic, we are talking about the DS.

1) to much money and is a complete wast.

2) It might... MIGHT mess with out gravity depending of the ship/man made planetes mass and how big itis.

3) We do not have enough metal to build it, it owuld be all out resorces.

It is kind of a misguided idea. We should be in the process of trying to colonize the stars, and trying to upgrade our space ships for that purpose. A Death Star could work later down the road, but now is just stupid. We do not have all the technology to acheive it, norwould we have the recourses to be able to afford this thing and build that massive CO2 laser you were talking about. Start small. Start to upgrade our spaceships first, not giant space station of doom. And no, it won't promote world peace, it will just promote division between the planet. Real world peace is not the same as forcing all planets into "peace" down the barrel of a gun. Or giant laser. Your choice.

Well..... I must say that building a "Death Star" sounds pretty stupid to me. Not to mention the Chinese would probably be the ones to build it. Not the U.S. The country is in debt! BIG TIME! No way in seven Hells would any nation build a space station in this economy. People have talked about asteroid mining, but that is the only thing that makes a little sense as far as space exploration goes.

2-That depends. How close would it be to earth.

If you move the deathstar away from the Earth to reduce eclipses, it'll cause it to be pulled away from the Earth because of the larger masses of more distant bodies.

It could crash on earth, and if it detonates it'll rain molten death star on the Earth.
And solar power alone is not likely to keep a giant hulking deathstar in space unless the solar sails extend way to the side - in any case, the death star doesn't have solar panels, so adding them(especially large ones) would take away the point of simulating the death star.

Yes it will. You are displacing a massive mass from the Earth and locating it in such a way that that balance of gravity between the earth and moon will change. The reason those planets with multiple moons are stable is because the atoms gravitationally aligned that way when it was created. Using the multiple moons excuse doesn't work.
