Star Wars vs Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Two great Sith Lords, considered to be completely awesome by many Star Wars fans. But this is not a competition of awesomeness, it is a competition of strength and cunning. Who would win between Darth Maul, the acrobatic master of double-bladed lightsaber combat, and Darth Nihilus, the man who lost his humanity and became a being of pure Dark side energy?

Nihilus takes this handily. The only reason the Exile was able to face him was because she too was a wound in the force. Any normal force user is going to be sucked dry of both their life force and force power early in the fight.

Exactly. But you forget another thing; the Exile had brought Visas Marr - Nihilus' apprentice - who was able to weaken him by her presence. It is questionable if Nihilus can even be killed, or if he is like a ghost.

Yeah, unless there's some crazy EU feats on Maul's part (you can never be certain, but AFAIK Maul is no EUke Skywalker or Wankatine), Maul gets Force Drained within the first minute of the fight. No way he's holding off someone who could Force Drain an entire planet.

But let us not forget that Nihilus is a near-immortal creature of pure Force energy and not a normal man. I would say that he has unlimited Force reserves, not to mention that his techniques are more powerful - he slaughtered an entire planet's population! Nihilus could finish this quickly by draining Maul's life energy in an instant, or play around with his opponent for a moment. Either way, I cannot see Maul winning here.
